Read this to fulfill a #Deweys24HrReadathon bingo prompt for Read a Graphic Novel. I wanted something autumn or Halloween themed that I could download from Libby and this fit the bill. It was an easy read, but sometimes the characters said things that made me roll my eyes. It just didn‘t seem like each of the girls had their own voice, but were speaking how the author would instead.

This was a StoryGraph suggestion that‘s been sitting on my TBR for a while, but since it‘s spooky season now I couldn‘t resist, and it turned out to be really great. I just loved the art style! The main characters were so much fun, and the fact that you actually got to watch them cast more magic than usual really helped with seamless world building.

Loved this one so much! I already downloaded volume 2 :)

I loved this witchy graphic novel! Three witches go on a road trip to recover their stolen magical stuff and find out who took it in the first place and why. Along the way, they meet and help others who bought their magical stuff on a dark web like auction. The art is lovely and the artists really brought each of their personalities to life in the art. I wish my library had the second volume because I wasn‘t ready to leave these characters.

3 witches on a road trip to retrieve stolen magical items and catch the theif that stole them, what's not to love!? This was a fun graphic novel and I went ahead and ordered Vol2 because I couldn't wait to see their next adventure!

A road trip with witches who are trying to get back their stolen items and end up helping people with their problems along the way. I really enjoyed this, and was excited to read Vol. 2, and then found out it doesn't come out until July 😞 Great characters, an interesting flow, and an intriguing story.

Awesome graphic novel (vol 1-5). Three witches on a road trip tracking down their stolen magical possessions and trying to uncover who is plotting against them. Love the visuals. Super fun comic about a trio of witches who go on a magical road trip on a mission to get their stolen spells back! Nice art and story, I‘d read more adventures with these characters.

A fun graphic novel about three witches on a road trip to recover their stolen magical objects- crystals, an orb, a planchette, spices, and an invoking ritual. When they catch up with the culprit - an ex-boyfriend of one of the witches- they realize that the true object of desire is something one of the witches brings with her.

I ADORE this graphic novel soooo much! One of my favorite reads this year! Someone breaks into the home of three young women and steals their stuff. Too bad the women are witches! Now they‘re on the hunt for their stuff and the one who robbed them. Basically it‘s a witchy road trip and I love it 😁 The art is gorgeous, the characters are fantastic and I am heartbroken that there aren‘t more volumes! Well worth the read, will definitely reread it.

This was a really fun story. A great witch story, a great friendship story, a great road trip story. Just so much fun all the way through. Also some killer outfits during the story too.

I recently read the Saga and Paper Girl series and I‘m starting Amulet and Runaways - Lumberjanes was my graphic novel gateway drug. They‘ve all been so freaking awesome and I am excited to read more after dialiking the genre for so long. 😊

As far as I'm aware, this is a standalone story, which has upset me. I've fallen for these characters and want to see more of them!!!

While this was a fairly simple mystery, I enjoyed the cast of main characters and the artwork. I hope they will continue with the series.

I don't even know how to articulate how much it means to me to see an adult character in fiction who just casually doesn't drink. (And who isn't framed as weak for doing so). No irritating oh-but-why moment - just casual, no-big-deal sobriety.

(And only the bad guys are ever kind of jerks about it. Nobody else bats an eye).

Tbh I didn't love love this like I thought I would but it was very good! I felt a bit puzzled as to why I wasn't enamored with it, since it basically has everything that I love: witches, queers, road trips, humour and drama mix, great art (Megan Levens!). It felt very Buffy-esque. But something about the characters and maybe plot didn't wow me. I think both were just a bit underdeveloped.

Couldn't resist taking this out on my shift at the library today! Witches on a road trip with queer characters? Yes please. I also realized that one of the artists is one of the people who did Buffy season 10 that I've been really into! #QueerBooks #Comics

Had a mini graphic novel readathon this evening! Three quick reviews:
Cici's Journal: middle grade story of an aspiring author. Beautiful art but odd pacing/narration took me out of the story.
Maria and Me: slice of life of author and his daughter, who has autism. Heartfelt but I found the story too slight to be satisfying.
Spell On Wheels: my fave. Three young witches solve a mystery and reclaim their stolen stuff.

Blurry picture, sorry! This was a cute roadtrip story with witches and the pictured satyr dude later on. The redhead's ex steals some magical items in a quest to gain his own magic and get revenge, but we all know how that goes! I'd like to see where next these ladies go. Also, there's a witch with technology magic, which I'd really like to have 😆

Finished one more just under the wire. This was super fun, and surprisingly real at times.

This fun and spooky one shot was a nice break from my winter reading. The characters were well developed in a short time, and I loved the art. I only wish these witches would conjure up a second volume! #queerbooks

Adored this. A little bit Sabrina the Teenage Witch, a little bit The Craft. The story hooked me from the beginning, and the characters are interesting and individual. The artwork and colouring is just just beautiful. Cannot wait for volume 2. 5/5 #comics #graphicnovels #fantasy

Witches on a road trip! Need I say more? I love the emphasis on female friendship because, way too often, females are pitted against each other (*cough* *cough* AHS: Coven). So it's nice to see a group of female witches getting along and working together.

What's your favorite road trip destination? Or your dream one? I like going down the coast (from WA to CA!) There are so many cute little towns and tourist traps! And elephant seals!
