Finished my christmas shopping today! (Already! I‘m never this early, I‘m really happy!) obviously I couldn‘t walk out of the bookstore without a goodie for myself as well. I‘m actually proud that I managed to buy only one book for me- it was very tempting.

I started watching the Christmas special, I started crying… I turned it off. To me, this really is the end of the road: for various reasons, I‘m done with this show.
For the tears, the laughs, the feelings… thank you, Doctor. I let you go. 😢💙
I know some people don't like Capaldi as the doctor but I have to admit that he's grown on me as 12 and I'll be sad to see him go. However, I can't wait to see Jodie Whittaker's run and Chibnall take over the reins.
It's the last Dr Whosday of the Peter Capaldi era. On Christmas, the Twelfth Doctor will hand over the TARDIS key to his successor and the Jodie Whittaker era begins! Capaldi has given us three amazing seasons, and his Doctor will go down as one of the all time greats. As sad as it is to see him go, at least we have one more hour of his Doctor to enjoy.

pick3.5⭐️ overall, so I will call this a pick. The New Who Doctors' stories felt stronger than the classic ones in terms of capturing the Doctors' characters. Best title: Sontar's Little Helpers 😂 Best illustrations: from 4's and 12's stories. Worth borrowing from the library for sure.

Me: Slitheens disguise themselves as humans by squishing themselves into human suits, and they have to relieve the gas buildup by farting.

pickLast review of the year! A fun read that reminded me of why I love Doctor Who in the first place. My personal favorite stories were 1, 6, and 11 (none of which are my favorite Doctors, funnily), but there were other enjoyable ones in there too. Also, some great artwork. Recommend enjoying with a cup of tea in front of the tree. 😊☕📖

A solid short story collection which I found quite enjoyable and one of the better ones I've read so far. A great holiday read for Whovians both young and old! ? just one more day

so-soThis was so disappointing. The best that could be said of most of the stories is that they weren't completely dreadful. There were a couple I really enjoyed (6, 8, & 11), but I hated the stories for 2, 9, and 10. This will not become an annual holiday reread, and that makes me sad.

A late Christmas read and making a late gift 😁 I have no other excuse than I'm a procrastinator and I had been very sick for the most part.
I just saw the book the kitties have been using as a pillow and wanted to read something cozy and geeky since I'm still in the holiday groove! I really liked the first two stories and I'm feeling the nostalgia for the 1st and 2nd Doctors and corresponding companions. Loved Barbara and Ian! 💕
