Hi, everyone! I‘m so sick of the algorithm over on Instagram (@tracycatherinereads) so I‘m gonna be reviewing and chatting here almost entirely! What‘s new in this space? Read any fantastic middle grade lately?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ really loved it! I‘m NERVOUS for Drums of Autumn - I hear it is quite different.
This was taken a few days ago, but I‘ve been reading Voyager. I think I‘ll probably finish by Sunday. I‘ve heard that Drums of Autumn has quite a different vibe from the first three. Thoughts? Did you like it?
So excited for this!!! #IdRatherBeReading
Hey Litsy friends! I just started my very own bookish IG Page. If you‘re interested, please follow! Would love to see you over there, too. 💕💕💕
So I just buzzed all my hair off (yay! Feels wonderful!) and I‘m wondering if any of you have read a novel where the protagonist is described as having really short hair. Any ideas?
I just joined Book of the Month for the first time! Are you all members? What did you pick for July? Also, hi! Sorry I‘ve been garbage about posting. Whatcha all reading this weekend? #tbr #botm
Just started it this afternoon!
Picked up a few goodies today. Have you read any of these??
I‘ve had a really hard time concentrating since Uncle Jerry‘s sudden death. I‘m giving myself permission today to read slowly. I‘m more of what I call a production reader - that is, super-fast-binge-reader. Today, I‘ll be a process reader and go with the flow as best I can.
Haven‘t read as much as usual, but I‘m excited to dig deeper into this story. 💜
Okay don‘t judge me. I found this on audio through my library and I‘ve been listening to it since last night while I finish knitting a pair of socks. I don‘t know what it is about it, but I am really enjoying it. Am I lame? Yeah. That‘s okay. It‘s been a long day, and sadly another death in the family has occurred. My heart hurts so very much.
Checked this out digitally from my library tonight. YA contemporary is so not my thing, but sometimes I need something fluffy and easy. This is both of those things.
I know I‘ve been quiet the past week. I had a family member tragically and suddenly die, and I‘m absolutely devastated. 💔 I started the City of Brass but haven‘t read any of it any all week because I just can‘t focus. Picked this up at the library after therapy but haven‘t really read much of it... my heart hurts so much, my friends.
And picked this one up randomly at Target after a really depressing dr appointment this afternoon.
A few of the books on my TBR currently. Pretty random selection, I know. Wanna know what‘s weird? I have NEVER pegged myself as a “fantasy person” but I‘m learning that I actually really enjoy historical fantasies. Do you have a fav historical fantasy? Gimme your recs! #tbr #littens
So I need to say something a little dif than usual: I want to talk about reading and #selfcare 💜 You do not ever have to push through a book if it is emotionally too much for you. I make no secret of my PTSD, and this particular narrative hit way too close to home for me. I put it down and tried reading it again today. I struggled through 1/2 of it. But I‘m done. And that‘s okay. #mentalhealth
Okay - I wasn‘t expecting a YA fantasy to have such lyrical writing, but this definitely has that quality. I enjoyed the characters and detailed world. At times I thought the narrative got a bit repetitive, like I had read the same line a few times in dif spots from dif characters. The ending left me kinda confused though. Recommend overall!
Just picked this one up. I generally don‘t gravitate toward YA fantasy - but this sounds really good.
Gobbled this right down. Not the most unique storyline, but worth the read if you‘re a WW2 historical fiction person.
Multi-perspective narrative set in WW2 Paris. 😍 I just picked it up. Has anybody read it?
I need recommendations! I need something cute. Something sweet. Think: charming, historical fiction. Something that will make me feel - feel hopeful and connected. #tbr #suggestions #recommendations #littens
This wasn‘t the best, and I went in knowing that. I didn‘t really like Charlie that much, but Eve‘s story intrigued me. I loved the secondary characters, especially sweet Lili and Finn (though he was a bit too stereotypical Scot for me at times). It‘s worth reading if you like dual perspective and wartime novels.
Still reading The Alice Network and knitting up a storm. 💜 I‘m still sick which sucks, but that‘s okay. I‘m grateful for cozy wool and an interesting book. The writing is a little cliche at times but I don‘t mind that much.
I‘m working on this suuupeer cute cowl with little sheep and an alpaca on it! Any other knitters out there? What‘s your favorite knitting related reads? I‘m sick AGAIN so I‘ve got lots of down time. #knitting
Starting this. WW2 fiction is my absolute favorite.
Still sluggishly reading this one. Maybe it‘s just not the right time for me to read it? Ugh. Idk. #readingslump
I‘m sorta in a reading slump. Or maybe I‘m just having trouble focusing this past week. Blaaah. I like what I‘m reading, but I can‘t seem to stay with anything. 😐 Anybody else? #readingslump
I‘ve been in a bit of a reading slump the past few days. I‘m hoping to really get into this one tonight, though. We are supposed to get more snow in Vermont tonight and tomorrow so it‘ll feel like brutal Russian winter - fitting for this story! What are you all reading? ❄️❄️❄️
Okay, so the second half of the book is a lot better than the first half. I almost gave it a so-so, but the second half gave it the boost it needed. I didn‘t like the main character, Maddie, during the first half. As her story progressed though, I found her more relatable. The secondary characters are charming. If you like stories set in Scotland, you‘d likely enjoy this.
1. Um, reading!
2. 5‘2 and 3/4
3. Life long Vermonter! 💚
4. The Water at the Edge? At Water‘s Edge? (honestly I can‘t even remember the title and I‘m too lazy to go look at the book) 😂
5. Selfie from this Sunday just before my M.A. graduation!
#friyayintro @jesshowbooks
My recent graduation book stack. Sam gave me two books from the Folio Society (Anne and Julian), one of my grad school buddies gifted me Post-Traumatic Church Syndrome, which is very fitting given my thesis topic, and I snagged the other three thanks to a monetary present from my parents. 🙌🏻 #gradschool #graduation #tbr
Grabbed a few goodies tonight. Have you all read The Great Alone yet? I LOVED The Nightingale, so I‘m hoping to see more of that dramatic, immersive narrative. #tbr
Still reading this. I wish I liked the main character more. But really, I think she‘s insufferably annoying and privileged. I feel for her situation, but I‘d be rooting for her more if she wasn‘t so dumb. 😅 too harsh?
Sorry I‘ve been MIA! I got my master‘s degree this weekend! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Okay, I‘m gonna go with this one! I‘ve got my chamomile with vanilla & honey, and a story set in 1945 Scotland. 💜 Goodnight, readers! #currentlyreading #tea #historicalfiction
Oh, also, THIS. I got my Valentine early since this week is hectic as fuck. Ash Wednesday and rehearsal on the 14th, and then I‘m out of town for the weekend because I have graduation for my M.A. degree! 💜💜💜
Littens! Help me pick what I should read next. I just want to gobble them all down at once. 😍📚 #tbr #allthebooks #littens
I finished Guernsey this morning. 💜 It was so sweet. I love epistolary style writing so if you like letters in your novels with a crowd of charming characters, this is for you. You‘ll want to move to the Island and be with your new fictional friends.
1. Anne of Green Gables
2. I mean, Anne and Gil 💜💜💜 But also Lee and Rosemary from the TV show When Calls the Heart.
3. Tulip (pink)
4. Chocolate/Caramel
5. Pink
#manicmonday @JoScho
Haha, are you guys sick of me posting this book and view from my reading spot? 😅 I am reading it slowly because, honestly, I don‘t want it to end.
