Could have read this in one sitting if life allowed the luxury! This story draws you in from the start.
I don‘t normally read True Crime, but decided on this one for the Read Harder Challenge - and boy am I glad I did! Michelle McNamara drew me in to her world - and now I‘m going to go read all about the guy they actually arrested in April (I‘ve been ignoring the news so as not to ruin my experience with the book!) Highly recommend this book no matter what genre you usually read. #matchbooks
Finally had to opportunity to sit down in the sun and read the last few chapters. And it was excellent! Plot development ✅, character development ✅. Recommend this one for the Read Harder challenge ‘female protagonist over 60‘.
“And at that moment the alligators burst into the room.” And at that moment, I bailed.
This sentence didn‘t make me gasp in shock, it made me roll my eyes. The premise of the story is good, but it‘s too fantastical for my liking.
Great book. Loved Flavia. She is perfectly curious. How many more books in this series? My TBR keeps growing!!
Is Anna Anastasia?!?! Loved this book. Told from the point of view of Anna post 1918 in a reversing timeline and Anastasia pre 1918 in a normal timeline. Ariel Lawson does an amazing job. I‘ve never read any of her books before, may have to add some to my TBR!! #matchbooks
Finished this one yesterday. Great stories. Also definite conversation starters and eye openers. Recommend for sure!
A novel based on Oak Ridge, the city that developed the Atomic Bomb, even though the residents had no idea what they were working on. Good balance of fiction and historical fact, characters were well developed. Enjoyed this one and would recommend it for sure.
It may look like winter outside, but sitting inside in the sunshine feels like spring ☀️#matchbooks
#bookhaul from my local bank. $1/book to raise money for Kids Help Phone. Good books for a good cause.
Enjoyed the plot and the characters in this one - however didn‘t like the over abundance of pop culture references and some of the negative views on females - like that a woman cannot have success after age 34. I understand this was only one characters view, but it was always supported and never challenged. Jessica Knoll tells a great story, and the ending was a surprise, but this whole story is just a bunch of women back stabbing each other.
Now this is what I call a Good Friday 📚💙 Enjoying this ARC so far.
I picked this for the ugly cover/cover I hate prompts for the Read Harder and Popsugar 2018 challenges. Lady in a pink frilly dress. Not my thing. But I read the description - spies?!?! That‘s sounds better. This was a good plot and some strong characters, just not the main one. Amy is a smart woman who can‘t see the truth no matter how obvious- not a very good spy. Enjoyed Jane and Miss Gwen. Not sure that I‘ll read the next 11 in the series.
It has been a long hard week and it‘s finally Friday night. This is the moment that got me through this week. #matchbooks
TBR pile keeps growing! Need more time to read for fun!! #matchbooks
My first ever ARC!!! Thank you Goodreads Giveaways!!!📚🎉
😱😱😱 Someone dog eared a library book!! 😱😱😱
HELP ME OUT!! I just finished listening to Wild by Cheryl Strayed on audiobook- my first experience in the audio reading world. I enjoyed the story, but found I would zone out from time to time. Any advice from audiobookers on how to stay tuned in?? Or recommendations of books with narrators that are engaging??
I enjoyed this story more than I was expecting. It‘s more than just a hike, it‘s her own personal character growth. Makes me wanna go on a hike! For a day. Not 100.
Listening to the end of Wild on audiobook as my hubby flies us home over the Rockies at 17000ft.
This. Psychology/Psychiatry has come so far. And yet has so far still to go. Awareness and Acceptance!!
My book geek journal - where I keep track of my #readharder and #popsugarchallenge selections as well as all the great books I‘ll read this year! #matchbooks
No Sunday Funday for me, gotta do my homework. One more month and I‘m all done!!!
Canadian Littens 🇨🇦🇨🇦📚📚 Does anybody subscribe to a monthly book box?? Looking for recommendations.... Winter‘s got me wanting more books
Short but busy month. 4 books is more than I thought I‘d read!!
Today my youngest turns 14. A book enthusiast who loves Percy Jackson and all things Riordan! Where does the time go?!?!?!?
Not normally an audiobook type, but I‘m enjoying this one.
Didn‘t enjoy this one as much as I expected to. Maybe the five months wait on Libby created too much anticipation?? I liked the plot and the way the story was developed. Didn‘t really like Lo.
This was my first Ruth Ware read, are her others the same?
Homework ✅ Hockey 🏒 won, Basketball 🏀🥇. Finally - time to finish this book!!
Snuck in a chapter at lunch! Busy weekend - basketball 🏀 mom, hockey 🏒 mom and homework = no time to read!!
My favourite quote of all time.
“How right that the body changed over time, becoming a gallery of scars, a canvas of experience, a testament to life and one‘s capacity to endure it.”
Your body and it‘s imperfections tell your story. Own them, love them 🖤
TBR. Reading for the ‘Female Protagonist Over 60‘ for @bookriot Read Harder Challenge. Anyone else doing the challenge? Other challenges? #challengeaccepted #matchbooks
It‘s hard to take good “reading moments” pictures when you‘re reading an eBook on your phone....
Anyone else have this problem?

1) loved so many: Sweet Valley, Babysitter‘s Club, The Fabulous Five, I could go on....
2) hard to say...Into The Water by Paula Hawkins, Not a Sound by Heather Gudenkauf (love her! Recommend her!)
3) no one in particular but I don‘t like weak, whiny females. Grow a pair ladies!!
4) Twilight and 50 Shades (didn‘t enjoy the first one and no desire to read the second).
5) anyone reading this!!
Wow. That‘s all I can say right now.
A story of two nurses and their different experiences in WWII. Great story, great characters, however I found the writing to be a bit over dramatic at times.
Another enjoyable story from Marisa de los Santos.
Book one of 2018 complete! Enjoyed it not just for the who done it, but also for the psychological mystery. First time using the Libby app. Loved it. Perfect for vacation!
