I love a cozy mystery and the historical aspect is definitely also a win for me. This was a fun little quick read.

Well, I'm back. It's been a rough couple of years, making it hard to settle in to any books, and I tried.
I saw a description of this that said "Indiana Jones meets sci-fi" which sold me, for the fun of it. I'm definitely going to try to get here more often.

Starting the next read off of my keyword challenge, this weekend. Keyword is red!

Really a fun read. Light and easy to get through. It was a good choice to read between busy times at work. I'm going to have to pick up the rest of this series now though!

I went to the theater last night. It was a beautiful and interactive showing about the lows of depression and finding the joys in life. At one point, the actor yells out, who has a book? Well of course I have a book! Lol The laughter as they read my book title and then commented, always bring a book the the theater. I'm pretty sure a few will be looking it up though lol

This was my second read from the keyword challenge. I hadn't read this one before, but it was interesting. Very black or white thinking though.

On to my next TBR choice. This is a fun read so far.

I always love a cozy mystery! I am right on track for my challenge, so far. I've picked my next keyword read. I will start it soon! I'm feeling pretty proud of myself. 🤗

I always look for new recipes online, inevitably finding one attached to a story. They have become a huge pet peeve for me... I just want the recipe, not a story.
I really enjoyed the story itself here, I just couldn't past how much it felt like one of those recipe blogs. Because of that, I read it in one sitting, to avoid the risk of not picking it up again.

This is the reading challenge that I have chosen for this year. I'm adding a personal stipulation that I can only choose books in my house. Should get to make the choices interesting. :)

This was a fun cozy little mystery. Light and easy to read. Some of the foreshadowing was a tad obvious, but overall, it was a good read. Would make a good palette cleanser, if you need one!

I have been very absent over the last year. I am settling in, and working through a cozy little mystery. I have just found a reading challenge, that I've altered to help me read through the mountain of TBR in my house. I hope to start getting back in at the beginning and end of each book I get through. :)

I really enjoyed this, an entertaining read. The story is fluid, well written and wrapped up wonderfully.
Now to pick my next read. :)

Coffee and a little reading while the house is quiet. I really hope to finish this today. I love all the original photos throughout the book.

I have been waiting very impatiently for this one to come in. Time for some reading in bed!

Another from the museum. My grandmother had this book, taught me how to make banana bread from it as a little one. The museum is a rather odd place to feel personal nostalgia... at least I find it that way.

It has been a long time since I have read a book that I enjoyed this much. It is very well written, with a fairly disturbing ideology, it is dystopian after all. Not all stories need to end, wrapped up in a little bow, but a teeny bit more closure would have been nice.
I definitely recommend this one!!

Hoping to finish this today... I can't give spoilers but want to talk about this book!!!

This is well written and definitely a good read. My only problem reading this has been how to true to the book the movie was, as I knew the full story and felt a little less invested.
