When I was in high school, the reality shows “The OC” and “The Hills” were what every It Girl would talk about. Fast forward a decade, and one of those reality stars, Lauren Conrad, is still a household name. She‘s a style icon, influencing countless people, and she is also an accomplished author. I‘m sure if I‘d pick up one of her novels, I‘d be back with my girlfriends watching #californiagurls living it up! ♥️

pickSuch a lovely book. Beautifully written. Cleeton does a wonderful job depicting love and sacrifice, hope and exile, past and present. I can‘t wait to read another one of her novels. 💕
I love when pages have a deckle edge. While some believe that this is a defect or imperfection, I beg to differ. In fact, I think these books have a #fancy quality, and I am always on the hunt to find novels that possess this little trait.

One of my favorite quotes of all time in a movie is Elizabeth‘s reply to Darcy when asked how one is to encourage affection. Her sassy response of “Dancing... even if one‘s partner is barely tolerable.” certainly has a bit of sting behind it. But, #onedance later, their chemistry is undeniable. Matthew Quick brilliantly portrays the heartbreaking emotions of a young man who believes that his life will not get better and that suicide is his only option. This book sheds light on why it is SO IMPORTANT to be there for your fellow man. Luckily for Leonard, someone does step up for him, even though it is a difficult step to take.

I picked this gem at a book exchange that focused on mental health. It was so nice to be around a group of lovely, like-minded ladies as we discussed the importance of taking care of ourselves, especially our mental health. Shout out to @DimeryRene for coordinating such a fun event! 💖
pickModern Romance illustrates how dating has transformed over the last few generations. The author explains through interviews and statistical data that dating can be, well, complex and messy, even with the advances in technology. Is this groundbreaking information? No, but Aziz encourages readers to be honest, both with themselves and with others they are dating, and to embrace the journey. (I highly recommend the audio book... he cracks me up!)💕
