Who knew learning about planets was so much fun?!?! Simply loved this book and all the cool facts about the planets. Adorable illustrations and funny humor thrown throughout the book. Perfect for kids of all ages.
I started this one before the total eclipse in April of this year. I lost interest after that and just picked it up. It was definitely interesting, especially the history of how eclipses were used to help map the size and shape of the world centuries ago. It's my own fault for losing interest after seeing the eclipse. Definitely recommend if you'd like to learn more about eclipses.
I think this is a great book to teach your students aout the seasons and why they are the way they are! This book provides many hands on activities and would be a great read for the classroom!
This book could help students understand the reasons for seasons! You could use this to create a research project where students have to research the different seasons.
“As Earth orbits the sun, the tilt of Earths axis makes one part of the planet closer to the sun at one time of year and farther away at another time of year. This is why we have seasons.“
I use this book in my classroom to talk about diversity and different cultures. However, I don‘t know if I would use this book specifically because it‘s not written by somebody from that culture.
I love the story and the meaning of this book. I really enjoyed the illustrations and the use of color in this book. This is a book that I would love to have in my classroom and to use to introduce different cultures in the classroom.
Traditional literature
A charming story with beautiful illustrations and good narration. I liked the authors' note about traditional Mesoamerican stories of the sun & the moon, rabbits & opossums, and ceiba trees & agave. #hoopla #espanol #spanish
.
Una historia preciosa con bonitas ilustraciones y buena narración. Me gustó la nota de los autores sobre los cuentos tradicionales mesoamericanos del sol y la luna, el conejo y el tlacuache, y la ceiba y el maguey.
