HOWEVER, unsurprisingly, the book was a lot better than the movies. Which is saying something. Despite all the science talk that I didn‘t really understand, I loved this book.

2. Little kid me as I mentioned above loved Apollo 13 & there was a tv show called Space Cases that was the highlight of my week. I was obsessed with Catalina‘s hair & had a crush on Radu!

Adult me fell madly in love with Astronauts Wives Club both the tv show & book. I laughed, I cried, I followed a lot more people on Instagram.

Mark Watney is the first man to walk on Mars. He has been left behind as his team thought he died in a dust storm. Now they must try and rescue him before he becomes the first man to die on Mars. Science fiction is not my usual genre but I enjoyed this book very much. Quick read with humor, suspense and determination of Watney held my interest to the end. Highly recommended.
