I‘ve read and loved all of John Green‘s books, and Turtles All The Way Down is a winner! I love that it focuses less on romance and more on friendships and family. The book deals with mental health, trauma, wealth, and the journey we all take in adolescence to figure out who we are. If you like YA, I highly recommend.
Saw other people were #catchingup, so I am too!

I tried this as an audiobook, but could only manage to get through the first few stories. Hank‘s voice was soothing and entrancing, and he is an obviously competent writer. In spite of this, the book is very bland and slow-paced. I just could not become invested at all. I wouldn‘t discount Hanks all together, though, and would definitely try again if he releases another book.
I‘ve been a huge fan of MIB since his VH1 “I Love the XXs” days. He is so funny while being so eloquent. His “How to be Amazing” podcast is a great example of how he can be incredibly thoughtful and sincere while also making you laugh. This book is excellently paced, exploring some stories all throughout his (and his mother‘s) life. It is very well-written and absolutely worth a read.
I have a $5 credit for a Google Play eBook! I don‘t *love* eBooks, but I want to take advantage of it. Looking for recommendations for something engrossing and not too long since I don‘t like reading a screen for too long. Fiction preferred, YA even better! Thanks in advance, Littens!

Finally got a library card in my new city! So excited to explore some of the beautiful libraries of NYC! I‘m lucky enough to live a 5 minute walk from one of the branches.
Fun fact: the lions outside of the main branch of the NYPL are named Patience and Fortitude.

The Strand Bookstore in NYC is encouraging people to share their book crush, and I love it.

This book has been sitting on my shelf for years after an impulse buy at a thrift shop. I had previously enjoyed #SomethingBorrowed and liked #SomethingBlue even more.
While it is at times predictable, the issues it tackles are ones every woman debates in life. Emily Giffin is excellent at telling love stories, so much so that my heartbeat increased noticeably during the big moments.
Would recommend for a fun, unchallenging read.
