“Waiting can be a good thing.”
I think this book could be used in many ways in the classroom. It can create conversations about the importance of being patient, and it can also teach about the importance of having a journey rather than just focusing on the destination.
This book revolves around four characters who each are waiting for different things and share their perspectives and experiences. This but teaches children what it means to wait and how waiting can seem like a challenge, but it can lead to big joys and new discoveries.
The vocabulary in this book can be more educational for students that are younger. As well as there being bigger words throughout that describe certain things.
"Tulip and Violet hugged the plotting. It felt as soft as cotton candy. And all the while, wise Norris waited."
This book is a good identification of how students can share from the bear's perspective of giving to the other animals.
This book would be useful if they‘re students in your class who feel left out or are struggling making new friends. This can be a gateway to forming new friendships!
