I love Fiona Davis‘s books, and this was another great one! Didn‘t see the big reveal coming and that‘s always fun!

I loved Weike Wang‘s other books, and I might very well have loved this one but I‘ll never know because I couldn‘t get past the first 4 pages, where every character is introduced by giving their weight. Maybe her co-worker‘s “robust” 139 pounds will become a salient detail later, but I wont be reading to find out.
OK stories about NYC people. Barkeepers, old people, runaways, and others. Mostly right after 9-11. Best for native New Yorkers probably.
When Lu, a young photographer struggling to make ends meet, accidentally captures her neighbours' young son falling to his death, she is faced with a huge dilemma...
Absolutely fabulous audio narration by the actor playing Anita. And the dual timelines stories are well done too. Highly recommended.
This was such a fun romance set in NYC!
This was my first book by Alex Aster, so going into it I had no set expectations. I was pleasantly impressed!
Immediately, I was drawn in by the author‘s writing style. It was easy, effortless, and genuinely funny.
As for the two main characters, Elle and Parker, I liked Parker way more than I liked Elle.

Starting a book found at a thrift store. Looks interesting to me about New Yotk City life.
A novel reflecting on teenage years of two adults who grew up in NYC. Sometimes funny and other times sad, the kids while attending a Quaker School are trying to decide who they are sexually. The imagination runs a bit wild. No matter where you identify yourself sexually, or where you grew up, this novel had me recalling my memories during my teenage years. I gave this a solid 4.5/5⭐️
