pickHow can one resist a book with this in the description: "... tale of murder and moonshine, sandbagging and saboteurs, and a man and a woman who find unexpected love..." ?? I loved Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter and picked this book up.... really enjoyed it..... not an all time fav but a good read and different from a lot of books I've read. Looking for suggestions for similar books!

This book! Has me thinking because it is FULL of unlikeable characters, but I LOVED it! Maybe because they were quite believable. Can't quite put my finger on it but will update when I do. Special shout out to Arlo and Rhiannon. (The only likable characters). I had to laugh out loud a few times at the way this fam spoke to each other! Also anyone else super annoyed at "little Daniel"?

I like a good teenage gone missing mystery. This was one good, still not sure if I liked the ending though
One of my favs that I've read recently. By the author of The Glass Castle (which I have not read). This she wrote about her grandmother who had a very interesting life

Not a boy but the prompt #ameircanboy made me think of Sully :-) one of my all time fav characters and I love the setting of this book.

pickI loved the Plainsong series and so I picked this one up. Loved this one just like the others. I can't quite put my finger on what it is I love about Kent Haruf's writing. I was sad to learn that he has passed away and this was his last book. I will certainly now read all of his books.
Blurb about a book or memoir about an embarrassing situation , I immediately thought of Chelsea Handler's first book. Lots of good stories in here. I can't believe this came out 12 years ago ! #THATSAWKWARD
