Since I began to read it after I heard sooo many good things I was not so impressed as I maybe would have been if I read it without hearing anything (cause I was expecting a little bit more) but overall it's a good YA read...3.5/5

pppooraikul A Czech translation? :) 8y
bibli0_brain I had the same experience with the book. It wasn't bad, but I wasn't blown away like everyone said I would be 8y
Odd-Job-Librarian I had a similar experience with this book. So many people were raving about it but I was pretty much 'meh. It's alright'. 8y
andireja Same here. Kind of found the writing-style a little dull... 8y

I like this book, read it a few times and bought myself a new copy...as always book is sooo much more detailed then the movie, so who ever watch the movie and never read a book is missing out a lot...4/5

PenguinInFlight One of my all time favorites...I rarely re-read books, but this I've read at least 5 times since it was released. ☺️ 8y
Victoria_C I loved that book as well. 8y
EchoLogical Definitely one of my favorite movies, I'll have to get my hands on the book one day! 8y

"Second star to the right and straight on till morning" - I'm so in love with this book that I tattooed this quote a few years back...this is my favorite book of this kind since I was around 7 years old...unfortunately my first copy got lost so I bought myself a new one :)

Mehso-so

Not so impressed with this book...it's ok I guess - it's readable just not so worth the hype that is given...nor the movie even though I love Julia Roberts...

BookBoggart I personally loved it! Granted it came into my life at a time where I found it helpful. I could read it now and be, meh. This book I find is rather situational to ones place in life at that moment. 8y
Vexingcircumstance So it took me minute to figure out that that was Eat Pray Love in another language. All I say was "Jedi" and I was trying to figure out why Julia Roberts picture was on a Star Wars book. I'm sleepy. And I'm a geek. So...lol 8y

Ericmanciniwriter @Vexingcircumstance fanfic opportunity? 8y
Robothugs Sorry about the book, but love the photo if it's any consolation! 😅 8y
GoldenGirl I didnt like it either. I just felt like she was bitching about everything. I didn't even make it past the 3rd chapter. 8y
Tanner @Mary-JaneGrant @WanderingBookaneer Me too - it really spoke to me, but I was going through some turmoil in my life. I haven't wanted to reread it because I'd hate to feel "meh" over it (and I likely would). 8y
Abby-J I never figured out the appeal of this book. To me the story read as "Rich, white lady is sad, so she uses her money to go on adventures and appropriate bits of culture along the way." A book about a Jedi finding herself would have been way cooler. 8y
Vexingcircumstance @Eamann lol I haven't written fanfic in about twenty years but that is tempting. 8y

A lot of people call me crazy but I really enjoy autumn and winter and fluffy blankets and cold wind blowing outside...there's nothing more satisfying than being all wrapped up in a warm bed with some good books and movies/TV shows...and now - that time of a year is finally here 📚💻

Frecks-Booklover4life I love your pillow cases. You make me want to google and order! 8y

This book series never got translated in my country and I personally think it's a huge miss...I discovered them by accident and I'm so glad I did...it's so twisted and it's definitely not for everyone but I love it, I don't know why but I really love it...

thegirlwiththelibrarybag They're messed up but I read them all too 😂 8y
SheilaChew I read them all too - guilty pleasure reading. 8y
SecretLivesOfFictionLovers My mum introduced me to the series when I was a teen - I think I was 15 - and I absolutely adored the series! I've reread them many times since. 8y

Tidewater: A Novel of Pocahontas and the Jamestown Colony

I love Pocahontas. As a child I was obsessed with this romantic Disney's version but as I grew older I started exploring more historically accurate stories and this book is definitely the best one I read so far based on her life ... 4/5
P.S. However tonight I'm enjoying "Colors of the wind" all over again ;)

Alfoster Love the pillows! 8y
