My heart is broken. Today I had to say goodbye to the best boy ever, my baby & reading companion, Max. I was lucky to have him 19 years & he was a frequent visitor on my Litsy page back in the day. He was a unique soul, a character, & my comfort. I‘m going to miss his little face, vocal personality & warm purr. If you have a fur baby (or non-furry pet friend) give them a pat & some love from me.

Finishing up a too-short weekend by dipping back into some of the essays, interviews & questionnaires in this fun foodie volume so I can review it soon as part of #AbramsDinnerParty. Max🐱says that “Cats on Food” would be a far more interesting book. I think he is a bit biased. 😹

That look you get when you were pissed at your mom for getting home too late for you to go outside but then she breaks out the ahi sushi 🍣 she grabbed at the store & lets you eat yourself into a stupor & so all is forgiven... 😻🐟

Somebody 🐱is feeling better and just had a little ahi 🐟for dinner. He is taking advantage of his mom working from home today (with a few reading breaks) to monitor his blood sugar by periodically taking naps on the patio. I'm working with his diabetes doctor to get his insulin well-regulated again, but otherwise he is doing well for his age. Max 🐱and I thank all of his friends for sending him love and well wishes. 😽❤️😘#catsoflitsy #MaxtheCat

Max 🐱says that if I am actually at home hanging with him on the couch, I should pay attention to him & not my current book tour read. How can I resist that sweet face?! 😽❤️

Max 🐱rightly pointed out that his mom has been too busy lately to read with him & take cute pictures of him to post for his friends on Litsy & just generally give him the attention & adoration that he so much deserves--but she promises to do better & she did let him hang outside this afternoon/evening & watch the 🐦 🐦& 🦎🦎for quite a while, so he guesses she isn't all that bad.
