Many of the recipes sound and look delicious! The author includes personal notes for each recipe, which I really enjoy. This is the first recipe I tried (#mtcookbook success!), but I have it on display, tempting me to try others!

This is the Brown Sugar Almond Pound Cake that I served at Mother‘s Day brunch with macerated berries and whipped yogurt.

mabell Side note - I think I‘m going to try to find a new bundt pan, as mine is dark “non-stick”, and the long baking time for pound cakes really browns the crust 6mo

mabell @Tamra Thank you! It‘s a fabulous recipe! And it keeps well 😊 6mo

Tonight‘s choice! A lovely tale of Ganesha and how he came to lose his tusk and what ensued. Sanjay Patel‘s fantastic illustrations make this a favourite. #BedTimeBooks #KidsLibrary #NightTimeRitual #ChildrensBooks

Sace I read this a couple of years ago. The illustrations were just gorgeous! 4y
AppuNthebooks @Sace I know, right! Have you seen Sanjay‘s Super Team? Looks lovely and quite fun, too. 4y

What a great book for a diversity or multi-cultural theme! This would make a great starting book for Hinduism or Indian mythology.

Ganesha is just a regular kid - with the head of an elephant. And a love for sweets! When he bites into a jawbreaker, his tusk falls off! Ganesha is very upset and tries to fix it until realizing he can use his broken tusk like a pencil.

These were some of my favorite illustrations for a children‘s book!

AppuNthebooks My kid loves this book! Have you seen ‘Sanjay‘s Super Team‘? Enjoyed that one, too. 5y

Some treats from my time in Boston. Just got home now. Feeling a little sad; missing my 3 sisters already! ❤️

Eggs I miss my sisters too. But that chocolate looks divine 5y

I have contemplated reading this one but fear all the #sweets may make it a bit too saccharin for my tastes.
