#LittensLoveRomance Ch.19-21: We finally get to learn more abt Dominic and his past relationship- his only relationship. But though his number is less than Shay‘s it seems as though he has more overall experience than Shay when it comes to love and intimacy. Their weekend away had indeed made them closer. And no surprise, things start to heat up. How will they navigate things when they get back home and go back to work?

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.16-18: guh - trolls are the worst! What was up with that caller? Shay and Dominic had a close one on air. But I don‘t think a weekend away will solve this particular problem. They‘re in for a world of hurt when their carefully constructed house of lies comes crashing down. And I hate their sexist boss btw. He‘s a bit to blame for all this!

Skygoddess1 Kent is definitely the worst. Is it bad that I‘m secretly hoping that when this all blows up Kent is a part of the firing that I‘m sure will happen? I think the weekend away is going to result in them having a secret relationship for real. 2d

OriginalCyn620 Yes, Kent is a tool. How hard would it have been to text them both? I too think things will go up a notch or two on this weekend getaway. But that caller…WTH does he care if Shay and Dominic are lying? Dominic handled him pretty well though! 2d

MatchlessMarie I don‘t u see stand why they couldn‘t have just cleared it up (ie gaslit that caller lol) with a different date if their actual (fake) breakup that seemed like it would have been the easiest way to confront it since it still would have made the relationship roughly 3 months. 🙃 2d

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.13-15: well things are definitely getting more complicated between Dominic and Shay. Even if it is Drunk Dominic and slightly tipsy Shay. I wonder how he‘ll handle seeing her Tuesday - will he just ignore it? I feel bad that they are both lonely people. Maybe they need each other. But can they be just friends?

mcctrish I honestly think they are lonely. They should be friends with each other and they hopefully will be before they get horizontal 3d

But I agree that they are both lonely people and would love to see them form a friendship, then a romance from there. I felt so bad for Dominic that he didn‘t have anyone to call up to go have drinks with him! 🥺 3d

Skygoddess1 I need to much information on Dominic. His last relationship, why he doesn‘t seem to have any friends despite having grown up and gone to school in Seattle. Did he just push everybody away, or did he do something so heinous they all cut him out of their lives? 2d

DanaManiac I feel like there‘s definitely more to Dominic than it seems. He‘s not super likable initially and then also doesn‘t have local friends. Whatever it is that we end up learning about him, I think it will clear up a lot and help his character transformation. 2d

#LittensLoveRomance Ch. 10-12: the show is a hit and their boss is happy - for now. He‘ll be happy so long as they‘re popular. After that, who knows. But Shay is feeling the guilt over lying. How long will she be able to keep it up? I think they should at least tell Ruthie. And Shay‘s mom. Yeesh that will be awkward when the truth comes out.

mcctrish Dr Nina Flores knows something is up and I think the redhead will show up too @OriginalCyn620 somehow they will get together and then break up and being the dream of the show and then get together. But I am curious why Kent wants in on the planning? Does he sit in on other shows? Shay and Dominic have enough pressure with the show succeeding or they are out of work without Kent potentially undermining their ideas of how the show should flow 4d

#LittensLoveRomance Ch:7-9 Shay is definitely attracted to Dominic-but will her feelings get in the way of their new show and the lies they have to keep straight? This would stress me out to the point of hives I think. Especially lying to her mom. I also feel as though a 3 month relationship does not a relationship guru make. I‘d rather listen to a show where the hosts had been together for years. But that would be an even bigger lie to deal with.

OriginalCyn620 @Kshakal Yes, exactly! And I agree that it‘s a little flimsy for people who only dated a couple of months to host a radio show about said relationship…it would make more sense if it had been a couple of years. But I‘m just here for the ride! 5d

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.4-6: it‘s a tough nugget to swallow when you‘re given an ultimatum-do this new show or you‘re fired. Looks like Dominic is getting to see how the real world of journalism is. But Shay is right - it could open doors and lead to other opportunities for both of them. They just have to make sure they don‘t get caught. ⬇️

StayCurious Also, how do we feel about Dominic being younger than Shay? I feel as though that age gap could be significant but that may just be me. 6d

mcctrish My husband is 4 years younger than me and it only matters when we talk about what we did in high school ( music, tv & movies we listened to/watched) 6d

willaful Knowing that Dominic is so young definitely make it easier to excuse his behavior. He needs the world to teach him a thing or two. And I feel like they're in a similar place emotionally. -- both idealistic about pyublic radio, though in different directions.

My husband is 3 years younger... he was 18 and I was 21 when we met! I was embarrassed about it at the time but it's honestly never mattered. 6d

LiseWorks My husband is 8 years younger than me, and sometimes he acts older than me, lol. I usually remind him that I have been driving longer than him. And yes, songs, tv, and stuff are quite a conversation 6d

Faranae I don't think 3-4 years is an age gap. I'm sure it could feel that way when you're younger (early 20s), but by your 30s it's nothing, My parents are nearly 10 years apart, fitting the historical tradition (Dad is the older one). Now age gaps in Bujold novels 😬 6d

vonnie862 I know the age gap doesn't matter but I personally do not aim for that. Dominic is in his early 20s so it might play a role as to how he acts with Shay. 6d

Skygoddess1 The five year age gap isn‘t that big a deal for me, it‘d be different if it was a 20 year old with a 15 year old, but they‘re both in their 20s and I feel like it‘s being made a bigger deal than it is. I once dated a guy who was 9 years older than me for almost 5 years, it ended because he was a Peter Pan 6d

DanaManiac I was surprised to learn that Dominic is younger than Shay, but it makes his attitude more understandable. I recall being so black and white in my thinking when I was young (without being a jerk, lol). I feel like the age gap may become a key part of the plot, but not too sure about how. 5d

TheAromaofBooks To me, it depends on the overall age/life experiences. So I think it can make a bit of a difference in their case, with Dominic straight out of college vs Shay already in the workforce several years. I'm 10yrs younger than my husband and we tool along great, but we met when we were older and already knew where we were going in life, so I think that makes a difference!! 5d

#LittensLoveRomance ch.1-3: well I don‘t like snobby Dominic so far- Mr. Northwestern- but I‘m sure he‘ll grow on me. I feel for Shay. She‘s feeling lonely and left behind. And unfulfilled. I hope she finds what she‘s looking for. It‘s interesting seeing a radio station in the times of podcasting - what a competitive environment! Must be so hard to stay relevant.

I kind of like that Dominic is being genuinely jerky. I'm starting to loathe “enemies-to-lovers“ romance in which the MMC never actually did anything and the FMC just seems petty as hell. 6d
