#LittensLoveRomance Ch.5-6: some pretty emotional chapters early on in the book. Poor Sean and poor Simon. No wonder Simon‘s been a grump. Running the Faire must be so hard, about as hard as it would be to shut it down. Interesting that Simon seems to have left town and returned to help his sibling, similar to Emily. I hope Emily realizes she‘s allowed to stay in that town if she enjoys the life she is making there.

BarkingMadRead Poor Simon! I loved the birthday surprise, and that April told Emily she could stay as long as she wants 19h
vonnie862 I'm glad her sister told her that she could stay. Family needs to support each other. 18h

LiseWorks These chapters open her eyes to Simon, what the Faire means to him, and also open the readers eyed to her plight as well. 18h
CrowCAH Soo cute how her family remembers her bday! 🍕 And I like how we‘re slowly getting to see more to Simon than first met the eye. 17h
CogsOfEncouragement Getting that back story feels like a game changer. I‘m rooting for the bookstore/café job to become a permanent reality. 14h

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.3-4: I like a bit of back and forth but I think Emily has Simon pegged wrong. For one, I‘m definitely getting the vibe that his brother passed away and didn‘t just move. People are being too close lipped about Sean for it to have been simple. I wonder how Emily will bring Simon out of his shell. Does she even want to?

CrowCAH I agree. It feels like the brother has passed away and not just travelled away. I think her first impressions are incorrect. 2d
CogsOfEncouragement I agree that Sean has passed away. I can‘t handle “Emma” putting up with not being able to breathe. Oh, heck no. Please no more of this nonsense. Breathing is of most importance. 2d

julieclair Waiting for my copy to arrive… 2d
vonnie862 I'm with you; I feel that his brother passed away. 2d
BarkingMadRead I agree about Sean, sadly. I‘m curious about the miscommunication with Simon, what he‘s really upset about with her 2d
SarahBookInterrupted Me too, I think his brother passed away and maybe played Shakespeare at the fair? (edited) 19h

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.1-2: good start so far: we‘re introduced to the down-on-her-luck Emily, fresh off of a nasty breakup. She‘s wrangled into volunteering for a Renaissance Faire by people who take the event very seriously. Emily just wants to help out her niece. One of the show runners is Simon who, let‘s be honest, has a stick up his bum. What is his problem with Emily? Be nice to your volunteers! We‘ll see how that back and forth turns out😆

CrowCAH He‘s sooo serious. 🧐 Then he assigns her as a serving wench; he doesn‘t think highly of her at all. 3d
BarkingMadRead He‘s way too serious, but it‘s giving off grumpy sunshine vibes, which is my fave! I have high hopes! 3d

vonnie862 I can't wait to read more about the Ren Faire! I have a feeling there's go8ng to be many funny moments. 3d
SarahBookInterrupted Yes, it‘s a good start! 19h

This was the next instalment of the London Steampunk series that I started with #LittensLoveRomance. It‘s Rip and Esme‘s story and I loved it - this series is dark and gritty but full of great characters that you root for and fall for. I can‘t wait for the next one.

LiseWorks I've got to read this too! 1w

Finished with the #littensloveromance crew. I started late but quickly caught up, the story was cute & I devoured it like candy. Definitely had some hang ups about the main characters but overall it was a fun summery read. Myrna, the old Hollywood movie star neighbor, was for sure the highlight. She knows how to knock some sense into those young people!
Also, I totally did not understand the title reference until the author's note at the end 😅

StayCurious Ah I didn‘t read the author‘s note I‘ll have to go back 2w
peanutnine @StayCurious it might have been an audiobook only thing. She was answering fan questions and talked about the title a little 2w
peanutnine (it's the title of a Beatles song, in case anyone else was as lost as me lol) 2w

Repost for @StayCurious

Our September read for #LittensLoveRomance has been selected and we‘re going to the fairgrounds. Has anyone ever been to a renaissance fair? I‘ve always wanted to go but there aren‘t any good ones in my area that I know of. But they sound like a lot of fun and a great setting for our next book. We‘ll be reading 2 chapters a day starting Sept 15.

willaful Also skipping because I've already read it. Word of warning: the audiobook is mostly excellent but it drove me crazy because she read the “tavern wenches“ with aristocratic accents. 2w
TheAromaofBooks I've read this one, but it's been a few years and I really enjoyed it, so I'll join you!! 2w
