Chrissy, what a lovely surprise! Such a thoughtful, creative birthday gift! An absolutely amazing French cookbook - I‘ve been flipping through, and I can‘t wait to make everything!! And you tied in the theme with French placemats and towels, and the cutest apron! I love it all! Thank you!

Dilara The restaurant came highly recommended, but when I first looked at the menu, I was disappointed because I thought it was rather unimaginative. In the end, it didn't matter because the food was very fresh and well-executed. Simple and tasty! 2y

Lcsmcat Do get out of Paris if you can. It‘s a wonderful city, but there‘s so much more to France. I loved Nantes and Nice when I was there a dinosaur‘s life ago. 6y

This is the holy grail of cook books as far as I'm concerned. It's a mammoth book and the only one you'll ever need on your bookshelf.

PagesOfKate I've never read joy of cooking @mabell but I had a quick look at the blurb on here. Joy of Cooking seems quite different in terms of the inspiration behind the recipes but similar in scope. Seems a good read- I'll have to take a look. 7y
