Yesterday I hung out with Casey and, to my great surprise, binge-read THE RAVEN KING. The character dynamics that never coalesced for me in the first book finally did so here, in a big, must-read-more kinda way. There‘s still a certain amount of performative edginess, but there are also real, interesting connections arranged in a fascinating web. Plus, I‘m a sucker for a novel where someone tries to remain aloof but comes to love, like, EVERYONE.

I really peaked watching movies in the 90s apparently, the 00s had so many cartoons and as someone without kids I don't feel any need to watch them.

The book and movie. 💚

So helpful… 🥰😅

This is volume 2 of the Han Solo Trilogy. I enjoyed it much more than the first one. In this one Han is a fugitive from the Imperial Navy but he has Chewbacca, is working for the Hutts (who apparently change their sex when it is time for them to reproduce 🤷🏼‍♀️), and is being hunted by Boba Fett. Business as usual 💙

The first section of this book had me close to bailing, as it‘s nothing but tragedy after tragedy. The world is interesting and I wanted to know more about it, but Magdala went through a lot!

The second section was my favorite, with a perspective shift and a new character, Third section was fast paced and ending was satisfying.
