Due to all the doctor's appointments etc associated with my husband's transplant it's been hard for me to visit a bookstore for several months. Finally got to stop by one of my favorite indies today, and I might have bought a few books.
When your trip to the bookstore ends in a personal crisis, because you realise (again) that there's no chance at all that you'll every be able to read all the books you want in one lifetime... 😭
This is what I got last night with the gift card. I think I‘m going to try something new. I often listen to soundtracks or mixes while reading. If it‘s an 8tracks mix, I‘ll post the link. #litjournal
This moment‘s #8tracks: http://8tracks.com/gfhsrtjgrsjtej/soundtracks-to-make-you-cry
My bookish and owlish stuff, I got in Nürnberg and Rothenburg. 😍
This is a book I keep #OnYourShelfAllYear Seeing it there makes me feel savvy. #JingleShelves @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @bookloo
I only bought one book today. But it's such a great one. 😍
Really interesting series. I'm trying to make my way through but they are heavy books. Tons of information. I think something worth picking up if you want broad brush strokes of a subject.
Has anyone read this? I just saw it in the bookshop and really, really wanted to buy it, but I promised myself no more books until the 15th! I'm still wondering if it's good though and whether I'll buy it after!
Don't read this book, if you are not willing to add massively to your TBR list. It really gives the reader a nice overiew over the history of literature, major genres and themes.
The book talks about King Lear here. .. but this reminded me of someone w/o the reflection part though.
I need to come up with an old English kenning for "1st day back at work after staycation sucks". How about "whine-day" or "mind-crumble".
Kindle version is 1.99 right now.
I started reading yesterday and I can already feel my TBR expanding!
Found this for free in Amazon. Let's see what hidden treasures this holds
Thank you @bookriot for the best deal of the day in a while! Maybe a book about books will help me get through this reading slump. Image is made up of chapter headings from the kindle version of the book. Also worth noting that The Sherlock Holmes Book from the same publisher is also at a discount!
#augustphotochallenge day 27. I'm finally getting some reading time after a busy day and diving back into Dark Matter, which I'm really enjoying. I'm paging through The Literature Book slowly. I'm usually fairly book monogamous, so this is representative.
Look what I caught as I was headed to class this morning! When I joined Litsy 3 months ago, I would never have believed how much fun I'd have and how many awesome people I'd meet! I also want to thank y'all for inspiring my book choices and breaking me out of my comfort zone. I'm a lucky lady, truly. 😍📚😍📚
Ebook deal today...this one looks like a great one.
This may be one where the physical book is better than the e version, but wanted to make sure people saw this deal. On Nook, Kobo and Apple today!
Leaving a bookstore empty-handed is not an option. 📚 Thanks for the recommendation, @Liberty (The Literature Book)!! 😁
So I might have ordered this for #NationalBookLoversDay. That's ok, right? 😉
My friend let me pick out a book for my birthday, and this was what I wanted. She delivered it today and WOW. IT IS AN EPIC NERDPURR!!! I think working for DK must be AMAZING. 📚🤘🏻♥️
Costco. Can't leave it without checking out the book section. This one looks interesting.
In the library at my son's HS while he's taking his senior pics. 😊 📚 Of course I'm going to browse. Think I want to get this.
