There‘s something about this writing that didn‘t connect with me, I‘m not sure if it‘s the translation or the original text, but I suspect the original text. I guess I got used to it as I read on, because I was to dnf at the beginning.

Tom Langdon is taking the train to visit his girlfriend over Christmas from D.C to LA. On this train trip he meet a lot of different people and get to know them.

This is another Christmas story I sorta-kinda remember but can‘t recall reading the book. It‘s fun. The characters are a hoot. I just googled the cast from the adaption and remember them now - well cast adaption!

Ahhh I'm so behind on my posts. Finished this one a couple days ago. Finally finished going through the book looking for the #WGWordsearch words. I found 310 for 3,100 additional points.

My first completed book for #wintergames2020! This was a cute, quick audiobook that REALLY made me want to take a long distance sleeper train! Lots of quirky characters, some romance, and even a mysterious robber. Lots to enjoy! +26 points for team #merryreaders! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book is such a heartwarming story. Tom is a reporter who is taking a train cross country. He meets all sorts of wonderful characters on his trip. He also runs into Eleanor who happens to be an old flame. I love how the author tells the stories of each character. I loved the ending!!!

Third audiobook in a month. I liked this. It worked really well as an audiobook. The very end kind of ruined the strength of the story for me. That's why the so-so.

This was a heart-warming tale of love, long over due. Somehow I was expecting a crime/thriller and not a romantic drama.

The awesome part is this is also a #Book2Movie adaptation. And I believe I've found my next #HolidayMovie

I enjoyed this. I felt the story was a little commercial but still cute. Some of the characters were a bit over done. Like the author was trying too hard. It did make me wonder what train travel was really like. 3.5⭐

This story really makes me want to travel by train across the country. Fun setting for this Christmas themed story that has the MC meeting interesting people on his journey to California. There‘s both mystery, danger, and romance aboard this train. #MountTBR

This book was so much fun. I‘ve been wanting to take the kids on a train trip for awhile and this just about has me convinced to make it our summer vacation.

🎧 this was a fun short book. Boy‘s HS sweetheart dumps him, he never gets over her, later he is thinking about popping the question to a current GF, he‘s on a cross country train trip to meet up with her when the old GF & eventually the new GF show up. A twist & turn. Not my genre but an easy pleasant read. Recommended if you need a light, funny, palate cleanser. ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

First holiday book of the season. I enjoyed this story as well as the two bonus short stories included.

Successfully finished this weekend‘s #tbr book—also this month‘s book club book. It was cheesy and unbelievable, but I thought it was also sweet and charming in its own way. It was a fantastic book to get me out of my few weeks in a reading slump, and fun to read even if it isn‘t Christmas time!

Started my next Christmas themed booked🎄🎄🎄 I‘m enjoying it so far.

I was pleasantly surprised. I don't enjoy romance, but I heard of the author so I decided to get it. Very impressed. Loved the wacky characters. It made me want to spend Christmas on a train in a blizzard myself.

One of my Mom's favorite books. I've recommended enough titles to her over the past year, I should be open to one of hers, so I'll stick with it despite some initial clunkiness.

Watching the movie adaptation of David Baldacci‘s The Christmas Train 🚂🎄at my neighbor‘s house (my mom‘s!).
I am snuggling with my youngest, a sleeping baby, while my mom bakes my favorite Christmas cookie, Russian tea cakes. Kinda like the best Sunday evening ever!! ❄️☕️🍪

Meh, the story was okay—a little predictable and the dialogue wasn‘t my favorite, but it clipped along pretty quickly so that was good. It had some good lessons about kindness. I‘m still planning to watch the Hallmark movie that just came out.

I watched this last night & loved it. 2nd chance romance is not a favorite trope because I think there are usually good reasons something didn‘t work the 1st time. But this was lovely with several swoon worthy moments. I loved that is was about people in prime of life, old enough to have experienced disappointment, loss & failure. Plus Dermot Mulroney ❤️#romantsy #hallmark
