Loved the first 3 in the series. They were all about the same couple. This one was about side characters. Unfortunately it fell flat. The plot felt forced & the romance (enemies to lovers) was "eh." I love Hebert's work, so I'll def read her again! This was only entertaining b/c I knew the characters, but other than that I was waiting for the #audiobook to finish. Not crazy about the narrator for the hero either.

4/5 stars. The writing is so poetic and moving. The narrators seemed to nurture the words, and the cold seemed like a character in itself. ❄❄❄ Beautifully done. There were times that it felt like the story was dragging, but the end picked up nicely. It had an HEA, but it was really abrupt, which I wasn't crazy about. But I'd still recommend it!

I'm not crazy about the royal and commoner trope, but saw this on Libby & needed a new audiobook, so I figured why not? I've read Chase before and liked her and wasn't disappointed. I ended up loving this book b/c of the characters! There were a few unpredictable moments that surprised me, but what kept me listening was their beautiful romance & the connection they shared. ❤ The narration was good too. 😊

Listened to this all day while totally rearranging my bedroom and cleaning in all the nooks and crannies. Absolutely loved these characters and haven't laughed so much in a long time. Romantic, funny, and narrated well! My only beef with the story was that the heroine was in tears every other scene. I definitely enjoyed it enough to get the 2nd book. Wrath just gave me emotional whiplash, as did Beth, & I found myself doing a huh?-grimace too many times. I loved the other characters & felt the writing was solid for the most part. I even LOL'd at times. I'm not a big fan of head hopping (although Ward handled it well, so I was never confused), & I found some of the other POV scenes a bit boring.

Finally got Book 2 in the mail!! Yay! Loved this sci-fi romance about a sheltered girl named Blanca who's been protected from the internet and ensconced at the Tabula Rasa school to protect her purity--then she graduates and is thrust in the real world where all is not as it seems! Book 1 was amazing, and I can't wait to dig into this one!!

Aaah!! But there's so much to do today! I guess laundry will wait!

WOW! Talk about going back in time & reliving the angst of being on the verge of adulthood!! ❤❤❤ Adorable first-love story, great friendships, and a lot of real-life issues dealt with a sweet touch! 💕
