pickThis was a quick read and there was never much detail or depth into the characters or their lives. The story asks, what will you do with the ‘time‘ that is given to you? Choose wisely. Words of Oscar Wilde come to mind: to live, is the rarest thing in the world…most people exist, that is all.

Try to imagine a life without timekeeping. You probably can‘t. You know the month, the year, the day of the week. There is a clock on your wall or the dashboard of your car. You have a schedule, a calendar, a time for dinner or a movie. Yet all around you, timekeeping is ignored. Birds are not late. A dog does not check his watch. Deer do not fret over passing birthdays. Man alone measures time. Man alone chimes the hour. And, because of this, man
panI really wanted to like it. I have enjoyed a lot of his other works, but I couldn‘t. This one wasn‘t it. The characters seemed more woe is me and selfish. In the end, it doesn‘t seem like the learned the value of time or any moral just like a rushed ending. I finished it because I committed to it, but not going to recommend. Maybe others could relate better than I.

I liked the premis, and the way in which he wrote the story.
There's some really memorable sentences in here.
However, it didn't gel with me... but I don't know why...
Interesting blurb so will give it a go...
I'd gone to the library to find Tuesdays with Morrie. There wasn't a copy but this was available.
pickIve read everything by Albom so I dont know how this one slipped by me. Its probably not my fav of his but he still didnt disappoint. Also, as usual, it carried a powerful message.

pickThis book has been on my kindle for many years with me putting it to the side but something drew me to start it yesterday and it hit home so much. I regret putting this off for so long. It was such a wonderful read with so many great quotes. Sometimes it feels like the perfect book can fall into your hands at just the right time ❤️❤️

I picked this book up off the shelf when I forgot my book at home. I ended up really enjoying it. It was a very quick read. I have never read anything by Albom, so I can't compare it to his other works but I enjoyed it a lot.

pickThis is my first finished book for 2019 and it was a great way to start the year. It was a good reminder of how precious time is and how we should enjoy every moment of this wonderful life we‘ve been given. A well-written and thought-provoking read. 4/5⭐️
pickThis book started really slow...like I was 1/2 way through & about to bail before it actually got me interested. I‘m glad I stuck it out.

Post 3 of 3: So once I finish with my current #poutineandpaperbacks which should be sent out by Monday and Everything Beautiful is Not Ruined for my other book club I'll begin tackling this stack, top to bottom. Between my two #TBR lists I have way more books than I have time to read. It's really a bittersweet problem. There will be other book club picks and professional reads added along the way. So far 2018 has been a stellar year for reading!

I read this a few years ago with the #eclecticreaders, and while it didn't blow me away I found it to be pretty a interesting way of talking about not taking our time for granted.
