Oscar Wilde's Morning Wisdom 🌹
“My duty to myself is to amuse myself terrifically.”
Cheers to that, mr. Wilde! 🥂

• Last night I read a Dutch novel and I haven't done that for a while. Ginerva is a historical novel, written by one of my favourite Dutch writers Simone van der Vlugt 😊
• It's a 14th century Italian love story like Romeo & Julia, and I liked it but there was a lot of historical incorrectness and that irritated me.. I finished it in one sit though 📖
• Also, let me introduce you to my cat Lord 😻

Oscar Wilde's Morning Wisdom 🌹
“What fire does not destroy, it hardens.”
• I like this quote, it makes me think of “what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.”
#oscarwilde #morningwisdom
“I've often seen a cat without a grin... But a grin without a cat! It's the most curious thing I ever saw in my life!”
What's your favourite Alice quote? 👩🏼🎩🐰

Oscar Wilde's Morning Wisdom 🌹
“All love is a tragedy.”
• Ooh Oscar, you big dramatist and drama queen.. 😌
• He's right tho 🙄
#oscarwilde #morningwisdom
“I am a free human being with an independent will.”
• I love all works of the Brontë sisters. Wuthering Heights by Emily is my favourite, but Jane Eyre by Charlotte comes second ?
• This Collins edition of Jane Eyre is I think between 60-90 years old and has an illustration of Charlotte Brontë in the front. It also smells great I can tell you ☺️

give to those
who have nothing
to give to you
• There is some great poetry in Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur ❤️ but some poems do not reflect my own ideas. I still highly recommend it!!
• I love my dungarees! I can carry books in it. I feel like a book-kangaroo 😊

Oscar Wilde's Morning Wisdom 🌹
“Are there not books that can make us live more in one single hour than life can make us live in a score of shameful years?”
• Spoken like a wise man again, Oscar Wilde ❤️
• For me, The Secret History by Donna Tartt is one of those books 📖 Does this quote make you think of a certain book?
#oscarwilde #morningwisdom
“At magic hour, when the sun has gone but the light has not, armies of flying foxes unhinge themselves from the Banyan trees in the old graveyard and drift across the city like smoke.”
• ^ The amazing opening line of The Ministry of Utmost Happiness 📖
• Okay so my cat wasn't really corporative when I tried to take a picture of him with my current read 🙄 but he will be part of #catsofLitsy very soon, whether he likes it or not 😼
'When I think about books, I touch my shelf' 😏😏
• This is my young adult shelf 📚 it's not much but it's something 😊
• I've read them all and loved them all! It would be real torture if someone made me pick one favourite out of these ones 😓

Oscar Wilde's Morning Wisdom 🌹
“To love oneself is the beginning of a life-long romance.”
• No truer words were once spoken! To be happy with yourself, you have to love yourself! 💖
• So y'all give yourself a kiss and appreciate all the wonderful things that you are 🤗 and never forget that!
• I love this little book full of wisdom so much that I'm reading my favourite quotes during coffee every morning ☕️

Just read this Little Black Classic 📖 (and I read it at dusk)
🌙
• To Be Read at Dusk is a collection of 3 short ghost stories by Charles Dickens
👻
• The second one was very spooky and really creeped my out! The other two are also worth reading
😱
• I can recommend this for midnight reading, read it only with candlelight to make it even more spookier! 🕯
• Are there any Dickens lovers out there?

CR in my reading spot: The Ministry of Utmost Happiness by Arundhati Roy 📖
• 'How to tell a shattered story? By slowly becoming everybody. No. By slowly becoming everything.'
• I've read the first 30 pages and loving the writing style so far ☺️
• There are a lot of Urdu/Persian/Arabic words so I'm making a glossary in the back with their meanings, otherwise I'm afraid that I miss important things in the story

Oscar Wilde's Morning Wisdom 🌹
“I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying.”
• I read Only Dull People Are Brilliant at Breakfast last weekend. It's a Penguin Little Black Classic with a collection of the most genius quotes of Oscar Wilde ✨
• Oscar Wilde is my bae 💖 he is almost as narcissistic as I am 😌 I can really relate to that quote (just kidding, but really.. 😇)

Hey booklovers! ?❤️
• So I discovered Litsy just now and instantly made an account! Still figuring out how this works but my first impression is that it's really cool for us book eating humans ?
• My first post is a picture of me with my favourite book Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë ?
• My bookstagram has the same name as my account here (inked.delights) I'm excited about sharing thoughts/reviews/quotes here with you guys! ?
