I loved this book. It really drew me in, and even if I thought the dialogue was a bit stilted at first, it turned out to fit really well with the narration.
Plus there's no unnecessary dropping of Japanese terms and honorifics!
I posted a longer review on my blog today! Go to https://alexreadsboooks.wordpress.com to check it out!
While the Grisha trilogy is overall weaker than Six of Crows, and has a few things I don't really like, I still love it a lot and Ruin and Rising was a great finale! Definitely helped in making Leigh Bardugo one of my favourite authors.
Also tfw you want to take photos outside because you're all about that nature aesthetic, but it keeps raining and you have to take breaks...
I haven't read this yet but the title of Chapter 13 seems promising. As did the ebook sampler...
This book was a hard no for me... I barely made it through but it was hard. There's just a lot about it that I think wasn't handled well and downright unnecessary. I go into more detail on my blog where I reviewed it today!

I finished this last night and while it was great there was one scene that turned it a bit sour for me, because I thought it was unnecessary.
Still 4/5 Stars.
"Kell wore a very peculiar coat."
I love that the first thing we know about Kell is his coat! I want a coat like that. And I adore Kell.

August just keeps breaking my heart a little. Not that Kate's a lot better but mostly it's August for now 😢
God, this book. I habe a lot of emotions about it, but most importantly I absolutely love it. It's beautiful and heartbreaking and just really amazing. If you can deal with depression, self-harm, abuse and suicide, I can only urge you to read this book because of how great it is.

I love this series so much! I'm absolutely in love and Radu and Nazira and Fatima are my babies. How am I supposed to wait until the next book???
Hey guys! I'm still trying to get everything back on track the way I want it to be but I should be able to post normally again...
What's everyone reading? I started Our Dark Duet by V.E. Schwab yesterday and it's *so* good! 😱 it's going to be a bit bittersweet to see it end though.
I'm still alive, but I have a bout of tendonitis so I've been resting my right hand and wrist. Let's hope it's over soon!
I'm currently reading this and it's great so far! It's also the forth book I'm reading this month because reading and watching the Tour de France on TV is pretty much all I do. 😅
What's everyone up to?

169 pages in and I absolutely love this. It draws me in and makes me care for the characters all while making me want to uncover the foundations and analyse it!
Have I mentioned recently that everyone should read this? Because you should. It's a super compelling Scifi with so much diversity and I absolutely love it. It's also not really romance focussed. Plus it comes with a sequel that's just as diverse and compelling. Go read them and then come back and talk to me because I really need someone to talk to me about everyone in this book!

This is such a good book, if you haven't read it yet you definitely should!
I love these new bookmarks I got from tillanddill on etsy 😍
Also the Shades of Magic series made the cut for my favourite books that I read this spring! I'll post a picture with all of them tomorrow, but in the meantime feel free to check out my blog https://alexreadsboooks.wordpress.com 😊
I feel like I should read more romances sometimes. They're right up my alley actually (especially if they're queer), but I rarely end up reading them?

#grimdragon Day 23: Oh myyy: Steamy!
I'm fairly sure these are the steamiest books you'll find on my shelf 😂

QOTD: Do you have any recs for queer Romances?

That kind of makes it look like Apollo is falling into the sky instead of out of it, doesn't it?

I still need to read this but I've heard good things about it!
As it turns out I currently live in the hottest city in Germany. Yay for temperatures closing in on 40°C!

Becky Albertalli is fairly popular and I still have to read any of her books. I'll get there soon hopefully!

Books that remind you of summer for #grimdragon Day 21
*
I read The Raven Boys in summer so it's connected to summer for me. The other book is the German translation of a Swedish book, and it's wonderfully sweet and just gave me a summery feeling. I almost didn't buy it because the blurb sounded like it could be queer but I wasn't convinced and didn't want to get disappointed. Turns out there was no reason to be afraid :D

The first time I read this was back in year 12 for school and then I ended up writing one of my final English exams on it a year later. The Handmaid's Tale has become one of my favourite books and while reading Atwood's other books is slow going I really like her writing!

We went to the Biergarten yesterday to have a evening beer to cool down, so obviously I snapped a pic real quick...
I've finally managed to read more of Labyrinth Lost and it's so good! 😍 I would have finished it today if I could! (Instead I rearranged my room)

What's your favourite way to relax after a hot day? Apart from reading obviously 😉

I still have so many emotions about this book... It made me cry even though I knew how it would end... 😢 so beautiful and sad. Which is almost as good as beautiful and happy.
I just absolutely adore this book.
