All of these on kindle unlimited feels like a crime! Can‘t believe it took me so long to get one.
Freida McFadden has an ability to immerse me into the story so deeply that once I start a book, I want to shut out the world with my AirPods until the end. Book 3 has a lot of suspicious behaviors among the characters, which kept me wondering what was going on in this idyllic cul-de-sac. As the pieces began to come together, I started to anticipate some of the twists.

This book is the the last one in the series and it fell kind of flat for me. I was waiting for huge plot twists and like my versions I was coming up with better than anything that actually happened 😂 I love all of Freida McFaddens other books so I‘ll definitely be reading more but with the series was wrapped up better 🥲
My 1st read of 2025! If this was the final book in The Housemaid series then it was a good one! It was nice that the suspicion was on someone other than Millie in this book. There were still plenty of twists! I didn‘t see them coming. It was interesting with the time jumps in this series. You should like it if you liked the previous books!
It was a toss up between a pick and so-so for this one. I‘m hoping McFadden retires the Housemaid after this. Millie moves into the burbs of Long Island with her family and notices the Housemaid next door is strangely watching her. Is something sinister with the maid or the house she is cleaning? This book could have been shortened and was easy at least for me to figure out. Still it was a quick read and still enjoyable 🙂
The beginning was predictable, but the ending wasn‘t. I liked following along with Millie‘s story. It was nice to learn more about her and her interesting history. I knew there was something wrong with Nico, I just didn‘t know what it was. And I didn‘t know Ada was going to have a role in what happened at the end. I also didn‘t think she killed Jonathan; I thought it was someone else who did. I just didn‘t know who. What a surprise! 😲🤯
Great read! I enjoyed this one more than the first 2 for the majority of it. It was hard to put down. However, I didn‘t find the twists quite so twisty. I think if you thought hard enough and already know Freida‘s style, you could have guessed. Some details didn‘t lead anywhere, and I wished there was more of the active scene once you find out the truth. However, I loved seeing Millie‘s family life. Also, Enzo is lucky Millie isn‘t Latina 😂.
This book did not disappoint. I absolutely love Frieda McFadden books.
Started this last night. Its so good like the rest of them. Cant wait to see the ending.
11-4-24: My 40th finished book of 2024! Book 3 in the series. We meet up with Millie and her now husband, Enzo, about a decade after the second book. They have just moved to Long Island with their children, Ada and Nico. Of course, their neighbors are not great. We hate them from the start. What transpires was unforeseen until close to the end. I didn‘t love this one as much as the first two but it still had me guessing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣4️⃣0️⃣
have read the other two Housemaid books by Fredia McFadden, and I really liked them. I didn't care for this one as much. I can't really say without spoiling, but I just can believe the culprit did it with what they did it with. McFadden does write a good backstory for her characters, but this time, it seemed to go on longer than I thought was necessary.
😊Happy Reading 😊

I've seen mixed reviews on this 3rd Housemaid book. I'm going to give it a try and see what I think. 🤞🤞
I loved the first two books in this series and sped through them. I‘m a big fan of Millie. This one took a lot longer to get into but once I did I finished it in one sitting. Not as good as the first two but still very enjoyable. 4⭐️

Not as good as the first but this third installment is just another fun read. Oh what Millie faces again…crazy neighbors are out there!
If you‘re considering reading this, really you know what you‘re getting here. I found #3 a little more ho-hum and with a few more loose threads and conveniences than the first two in this series. But nevertheless an enjoyable romp and the palate cleanser I needed.
“But more and more, I wonder about his past. I wonder what he has done and what he is capable of doing.”
I really enjoyed this one! As usual the twists were great! 😱 It‘s Tux approved 😹😹

Freida McFadden has written another Housemaid book. It's the 3rd in the series. I love her Housemaid books! Millie and her husband, Enzo, have moved into a new house with their 2 children, Ada 11 years old and Nico 9 years old. Their new neighbors, The Lowells, are strange people.
4.5 Stars • So, Millie, our intrepid housemaid, is back in action, but this time she's traded in her feather duster for a social worker badge. She and her hubby Enzo have two kids, Ada and Nico, and they've just moved into a swanky new house that's got more secrets than a CIA agent's diary.
But wait, it gets better! Millie's new neighbors are a real piece of work. ⬇️
Going to give this one a go. I‘ve seen mixed reviews, but I enjoyed the other two books in the series. 😃🩵
❤️🤍Millie came across a little more weak and less with it than her normal self, the questioning of Enzo was out of character for their relationship. Overall, not my favorite of the series by any means but I will never turn down a Freida. It was a quick and easy way to pass the time being under the weather.
This was probably my least favourite of the series, but I still loved it.
I loved how different it was to the other books, yet I guessed both twists. With Freida's books, I find that I'm always looking for a twist and I've read that many of her books, that I feel I'm now in her mindset, so I guess the twists early on!
I felt that Millie was very weak in this novel. She didn't seem like the badass, fearless woman we know.
Loved the series, though!
That‘s a wrap! I have completed my undergrad and now have a bachelor‘s degree!! 🤩 Yay more time for books !!! 📖 McFadden is an auto author for me so I pre-ordered this one a few months ago. Time to relax 😌
3.25 ⭐️
I recently finished The Housemaid is Watching by Frieda McFadden and I have loved this entire series so much. I‘m not even a series girly. But I enjoyed the second book. Nothing beats the first one. But the third? Girlfriend missed the mark. Too many things left undone and the ending twist felt so rushed. Anyone else read this? Thoughts?
“I throw out my back every other week. And it‘s not from lifting a sofa. It‘s from, like, sneezing.” - Millie
With chronic pain and degenerative discs in my low back, this is so relatable lol 😂

A little slow for the first half, but then delivered in true shifty Freida fashion!
