Gwyn‘s successfully running her witchcraft shop, when Llywellyn “Wells” come to reclaim the town his family used to run by opening his own witchcraft shop across the street from Gwyn‘s. They can‘t seem to stay away from each other. A new coven causing trouble causes them to work together.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This one was better than the 1st one. There was more banter, romance, & spice. It was just a little slow for me.
Out of order I finished these cozy, adorable stories. They each follow a Penhallow bro in their respective romances. The Wedding Witch was my favorite (Bowen is the best Penhallow, no question) but they were all cute, they stand alone but tie together in satisfying ways, and I am sad that there are only 3 bros. (Perhaps a cousin, eh..?)
Also I just learned that the author studied gender and sexuality in Victorian literature at Auburn, which rules.
I adored Gwyn, she was fun, smart and independent. I also loved Wells who was quite a gentleman and also had a good sense of humor. This book also had really nice group of secondary characters that made everything feel alive.
This was fun & light but also had a hint of mystery in it. I loved the setting & atmosphere.
Plotwise this went straight forward but wasn't too predictable. This was fast paced and pretty captivating.
#SeriesLove2024
This was a fun little, a bit predictable but I didn‘t see the twist ending. It gets high marks from me.
I loved this one just as much as the first. It was funny and cute and steamy in parts. Wells and Gwyn were great so much fun to follow in this story and I loved everything about this one!

1. Tagged! The Dead Romantics a close second!
2. Just reading #scarathlon
Thanks @Kshakal @TheSpineView #two4tuesday
Another reread. Loved this follow up to The Ex Hex. The characters are fantastic so I had to read it again this year.

Magic doesn't always play by the rules.
Filled with delightful witchiness and humour. A fluffy Halloween treat.
I really enjoyed this witchy read! #scarathlon @LiseWorks #teamcryptkeepers @TheSpineView #spookoween
Another witchy rom-com that‘s silly and spicy and fun. It takes side characters from The Ex Hex and gives them their own magic mystery to solve while they try (and fail) to fight their attraction for one another. Not sure if there will be a third in this series, but if there is, I‘ll pick it up.
I loved this even more than The Ex Hex 🧡💜
The whole enemies to lovers vibe was great fun, and I adored the witchcraft elements. Such a fun Halloween read. Think Hocus Pocus and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina with some spice.
🐈⬛️🔮🧙♀️🎃
Got a few things done for #scarathlon for team #BOOklovers
Finished a book, two movies on my watch list, and baked an apple treat from my bucket list! I‘m going to put on some Halloween episodes while totaling some points 🎃😁
Got a few points together for the first day of #scarathlon
I also got my trackers and activity pages all set up in my ipad but now it‘s dead so I can‘t mark the points until after it charges 😹
#SummerSpecial
The three most recent kiss-titled books from my Goodreads Read shelf for #KissDay Curses, murder & quotients, how romantic! 😍🤣
#thingsincommon - both are #botm picks
I read so many witchy books last year it took me a minute to remember which series this one was! Not that it really mattered, but I wanted to remember what town it was etc. this one was the romance of Gwyn and Wells. There is drama in the witch community and they have to work together to figure it out. He also opens up a similar shop right across the street. Fun, cute romance.
#awesomeapril
Second in the series was equally delightful. Gwyn (Viv‘s cousin from book 1) is happy running Something Wicked and living her best witchy life when Wells Penhallow shows up in Graves Glen to reestablish his family‘s connection to the town - and opens a rival shop across from hers. Romance and witchcraft ensue!
4.25⭐ I actually enjoyed this book better than the first. I found the chemistry between the MCs more compelling, and the enemies-to-lovers trope is a fun one, especially when combined with the opposites attract trope. I did find the reasons for the animosity to be a bit thin and nonsensical, but the fun story and bit of mystery more than made up for it.
Apparently my toxic trait is not reading the book I need for a bingo. 🤣 At least I have a few more days to pick up Babel, Bloodmarked, or The Four Winds. #bookspinbingo
Low pick. This wasn‘t as memorable as the first, but it was a fun quick read with some enjoyable funny interactions and good chemistry between the main characters. #JoyousJanuary @Andrew65
I actually liked this one more than The Ex Hex, even with the two plot threads left hanging.
Gwen was going to be the only Jones witch in town for the first time. It was the kickoff for the busy season when the oldest Penhallow brother strolls into town and sets up a witchy shop directly across from Gwen‘s store. Things get dicy when a few more shady witches show up and Gwen mysteriously loses her magic.
Finished 11/6/2022
#WeeklyForecast
My plan for the week is #BOTM books and Christmas romances mostly, apparently. #joyousjanuary #backlistreadathon #bookspinbingo
My pick for October for #12Booksof2022. Over the last couple of years I‘ve really gotten into witchy rom-coms!
I‘m wanting to find my way back to a consistent reading habit this year, and hopefully tackling my #BOTM backlist in January will help me get a good start. 🤞🏻
#BookSpin: The Kiss Curse
#DoubleSpin: Bloodmarked
#bookspinbingo
A good follow up to The Ex Hex. I meant to read it in October but my #BOTM box was late that month. No worries, the moody reader in me wanted something light & effortless this week & I‘m happy to finish it before the new year. Predictable, yes, but cute & fun. I liked the pairing of Wells & Gwyn & Gwyn‘s relationship with her baby witches, but as in the previous book, Sir Purrcival is the true star.
🖤✨🐈⬛🖤
This is a sequel to The Ex-Hex, the romance story of Gwyn & Wells. Enjoyed visiting Graves Glen & the intro of the Baby Witches. Romance was the usual enemies to lovers, a good read for relaxing while it‘s extremely cold outside (or during autumn since it‘s set in October).
Also pictured is the Luna itty bitty I received for Christmas.
Ending the work week on a sugar high, manned a cocoa and coffee bar today. A sweet send off until the new year.
Loving The Kiss Curse! It‘s such an easy fun read, I‘m sure I‘ll finish it today!
Book 211📚 4⭐️
Another adorable (and steamy) witchy rom-com by Sterling!👏🏻
Can we anticipate a 3rd book on brother Bowen?!🐺🖤
I‘m still not 100% sure on how to pronounce Llewellyn😂
*Every time I start to make head way on my library pile, 5 more books come in at the same time😂
meh. got to skip the line, and since I liked the Ex Hex I thought why not? But I dno, too much sop. Lots of kissing thoughts and charged looks, a little magic, and not much of a plot. The beginning was rough, but it did kinda pick up…just not enough 🤷🏽♀️
These books seem definitely on my annual Halloween read list! I loved The Kiss Curse the best so far. Oh and my BFF tells me there is to be another one! Bring it on!
This was fun. The plot was a little thin but the characters immensely likeable. Not sure I will read the next installment but I love this world of Graves Glen and Gwyn is a perfect witch!
October last book read. I liked this better that the other one even when it was not a directly sequel. It is funny, cute, sexy with a pinch of mystery and action at the end. It is very short. 3⭐️
Had a really good month of reading! If I had to pick one favorite, it‘d be the tagged book. I am loving the witchy rom-coms! 🧙🏻♀️
#octoberwrapup
A continuation of the cuteness that started with The Ex Hex. Just the Halloween vibes I needed to wrap up October!🎃👻
Yay! I really liked Ex Hex and Loved Kiss Curse. I'm so excited to see that a third book is in the works. ❤️
@EclecticBookLover 😀
Okay, truthfully, not better than The Ex Hex. But it is still an enjoyable fall read and would recommend if you‘re in the witchy rom com mood! The chemistry was cute and sometimes sexy and you got a little bit of the happy couple from The Ex Hex. It‘s fun, roomy, light, all the things I wanted and needed!
Absolutely adored!! Witchy, fun, sexy… who could ask for more?? I sure hope there is more to come in this series!!
Absolutely loved this! ? Even better than The Ex Hex. I love Sterling's writing. Even though the story is predictable she tends to skirt around annoying tropes making and avoiding "the big miss" in a fresh way. I definitely see myself re-reading these books. Love Graves Glen and especially love Sir Purrcival! Can't wait to read more.

I enjoyed The Hex Ex well enough, and currently have this checked out from Libby. I have ten days left on my loan, so still hoping to start/finish before the end of the month.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was deliciously adorable. Even better than The Ex Hex, which I enjoyed. I'm hoping for a book 3 featuring the other brother.

Fun sequel to The Ex Hex, can‘t wait to see what happens next.
This long week is over and I‘m finally where I want to be! Happy Friday, friends!!
I wonder what show she's referring to? Hmmm.... 🤣👻🧂
Starting this book tonight. I was the first person to request this book from my library. I enjoyed The Ex Hex so I'm looking forward to this.
