I finished my Greek street and installed it on my shelf! Hurray!
I also made some good progress through SCATTERED SHOWERS, which I love despite a couple of sameish stories. (Rainbow Rowell does like a bit of “best friends finally admit their attraction to one another.) The narrator uses too many emphatic undertones, though; an in-person storytelling technique that doesn‘t play well through earbuds and annoys the shit out of me. #audiocrafting
Looking at my February books for #12booksof2023 , I realized I don‘t have any year-end favorites in February. Rainbow Rowell is a fave author, so this short story collection is my pick. Plus, the cover is lovely. @Andrew65 12 days of Christmas
#currentlyreading #shortstories #romance #swoony #humour Loving this collection so freaking much. Hanging out for the Simon Snow story, hoping I haven‘t already read it #itspossible Also look at that #orchid going crazy!
A nice collection of short stories. Loved this on audio! It was great revisiting Simon & Baz 💙

This was a lovely collection of short stories, written with Rowell's usual style of optimism and character-driven romance. There were quite a few appearances by characters from her previous novels, and it was fun to see how some of their futures turned out. I especially liked Simon and Baz's story 💖
#2023ReadySetRead rainbow on the cover @Clwojick
I enjoyed this set of short stories.
Read for reading challenges.
3.75/5
A sweet and lovely collection of romantic short stories. It was lovely to get more Simon and Baz and to see Regan from Fangirl get her moment. But my favorite one was about two college students falling love over mix CDs ❤️
I really enjoyed this collection of short stories! And how cute is that cover? Usually in a short story collection, there‘s at least a couple that I dont “get” or don‘t like, but that wasn‘t the case here. I especially enjoyed the last story - very clever!

#booked2023 - a short story collection
I wanted something to read that was lighthearted, fun, and would leaving me feeling good when I finished; Rainbow Rowell delivered all that and more with this delightful collection of short stories.
I loved that some of the stories had characters from her books too. 💚
Enjoyable collection of romantic short stories. This is as close to romance books as I get.
🌈 Excited to visit some old friends🧡 Gift from the hubs
It‘s no secret that I‘m a mega Snowbaz fan! So of course I loved Rainbow Rowell‘s story collection that included a sweet tale of post-AWTWB Simon Snow & Baz Ptich. 🥰 A few of the stories I‘d read before like “Midnights” but most were new. RR has a magic way of writing wonderfully weird characters. I felt really seen by “Winter Songs for Summer” which takes place around the time I was in college (early 2000s). 💿❤️🎉 #LitsyLove
Loving this beautiful book atm.
Sweet teenage love and angst.
Pretty cover too.
My first taste of Rainbow Rowel
I've been taste testing a few new authors lately and am really enjoying what I'm discovering 😁
Cute lil short stories collection. I loved Fangirl - it‘s clear this style of adorkable romance is this author‘s specialty.
This was a solid collection of romantic short stories by Rainbow Rowell! If you are a fan of her book Fangirl or the Snow&Baz spin off then you'll like these as well! Some of my favorite stories were Kindred Spirits and The Prince and the Troll. The audio was great on it as well.

Rainbow Rowell could write me the phone book and I would say thank you. I love her characters, I love her sentences, I love how seen I feel when reading her writing. What a perfect story collection. #shortstories #yalit
My first time trying this! Sorry it isn‘t pretty.. I‘m excited and definitely will be reading Nick & Charlie and Scattered Showers this month. ❤️ I‘m such a mood reader, but we‘ll see how this goes and next month we might even try bingo 🤣 #bookspin #bookspinbingo
I didn't want to end the year with a pair of ho-hum reads, so opted to spend the afternoon and early decision with this one. It was an awfully good call.
What a lovely and generous #jolabokaflodswap package you sent, @AshleyHoss820. I adore the fact that it is so very Nebraska, the chocolate is so good, and I'm stoked about both of these books! Thank you so much, and I hope you have a terrific holiday.
Thanks and Happy Christmas to you as well, @MaleficentBookDragon ⛄
None short stories but I had read the first two already in midnight stories so I felt jipped ?. So easily I fell back in step with characters from other books as well as new characters. My favorite was the last in this collection "In Waiting" I loved the concept of authors characters developing and being used or modified as different projects take hold. I just felt like it was such a unique perspective and I didn't want it to end.
Typically I tag my highest rated book in a grid, but that book contains a lot of triggers so I‘m going with the book that rounds up to equal status on Goodreads. I love to love a book of short stories.
5* = Loved It, want to shout out loud about this book! I do/will own/keep a physical copy. A+
4*= I liked it, would love to discuss. Solid B
3*=Meh, no need to discuss. Average C
2*=Nope D
1*=DNF F
I enjoyed the first two short stories here so much that I thought it would be downhill from there, but they were all so good! Three stories visit characters from other books, but I can‘t stop thinking about Anna and James, as undeveloped as they are from her last story. I hope they spend a life time together!
Hey there, Litsy! It's been a minute! Life has continued to get in the way of my reading this year, but I'm working on getting back to my #TBR. I managed to plow through two entire books this weekend- a first in many months! And I can't wait to dig into this beauty tonight. I love the rainbow pages - and all of Rainbow's characters. Can't wait!
After working last night and today in my part time job, I am home. I am spending my evening in warm pjs, cozy socks along with a good beer and book.
I usually don‘t go for romantic or lighthearted reads, but Rainbow is my soft spot. Her dialogue is brilliant and her characters are authentic. I loved revisiting Reagan, Simon, and Baz, but I bought this especially to catch with Jennifer and Beth from Attachments, and I wasn‘t disappointed! The standalone stories are good too, esp Winter Songs for Summer. If you like these characters or you just want light, heartfelt short stories, get this!
How CUTE is this book?! My library hold finally came in and I can't wait to start it! The pages are painted blue as well! 💙💙💙 It's very eye catching! I wasn't planning on buying a copy because it's not actually very long...but now that I've seen it in person I might not be able to resist! 😍📚💕
Book haul from Barnes & Noble!!
This is a delightful collection of nine love stories that is perfect for reading generally &, of course, when you want a happy ending or the promise of one. Four stories are previously published—but wonderful to have collected here—& the others are new including one set during the pandemic. The bonus Simon & Baz story is fun as Rowell reimagines them as a florist & a tattoo artist, neither with any magic. A quick, fun, make-you-smile read.
I almost always do my Rainbow preorders from her hometown bookstore because she‘ll personalize them. Plus there was an extra incentive of an additional story included with the order. I can‘t wait to dive in!
Very excited about today‘s book mail! This is Roewll‘s first short story collection and if you ordered it from The Bookworm in Omaha, it came signed with a bonus Simon & Baz short story. Needless to say, that‘s exactly what I did because more Simon & Baz? Yes please!!!
From Rainbow Rowell‘s Instagram comes news about a new book due out in November. It a collection of short stories and includes some new stories as well as stories about existing characters—she says she‘ll reveal those characters in the coming days. I wonder who it‘ll be?!?
