Hot on the heels of the New York Times bestsellers The Twin and The Lake, the undisputed queen of YA thrillers is back. Don't be afraid. Be terrified. It's just a stupid meme that's going around their small fishing town in the dead of winter--people reposting and sharing their biggest fear. But when her classmates start turning up dead--dying in the way that they said scared them the most--Izzy knows it's no joke. With each death hitting closer to home, Izzy sets out to try to stop the killer. Could her older sister's friend Tristan have something to do with the deaths? He's given her some strange vibes. Or what about his brooding cousin, Axel? But he's in her classes at school. He's not a murderer . . . is he? Izzie's soon on a path that will lead her right to the killer . . . and her own worst nightmare.

Izzy's friends start posting about their death fears (worst way to die), then they start to die based on their fear. Izzy intends to find the serial killer. A lot of twists and turns. Kept me guessing until the very end, which I loved! Izzy's character was self-proclaimed smart girl but not too smart in terms of her thought processes and actions, which got annoying. Overall, a so-so read, good enough to finish.

Make a great day everyone 🙂

This was an amazing read. It had me on the edge of my seat to the very end. It had chills going down my spine, and I was completely taken off guard by the ending. I would definitely recommend for fans of thriller reads. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

In the dead of winter in a small fishing town a stupid meme gets shared around by the local high schools. A lot of them are reposting and sharing their biggest fear with the meme. When some of Izzy's classmates show up dead exactly the way they feared she realizes this isn't a joke.

I watch the pathetic buzz of excitement from my car. The heavy snowstorm creates a kaleidoscope of color as students sprint into Rock Bay High wearing brightly colored parkas and the hockey team‘s letterman jackets.

This was a good YA Murder mystery/thriller. Although the killer seemed obvious to me, most teen readers wouldn‘t pick up on it. The modern day meme to murder makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up..especially as a mom. Although other YA books having a writing style that feels more “adult” in comparison, this is a fast paced, enjoyable and easy read.

I normally love Natasha Preston‘s books but this one definitely isn‘t my favorite! Idk it‘s because of how it ended or what but I was really hoping for more!☹️

I read this book in less than a day because I literally couldn‘t put it down. In a small wintery town, a meme goes around asking people to share their biggest fear of dying (drowning, getting stabbed, etc). Soon after, people in this small town start dying by way of their biggest fear. High school senior, who somehow gets wrapped up in these murders sets out to find the murderer. Will she be successful? Or will her biggest fear become a reality?

swishandflick Ooh, that sounds good! 3y
