Enjoyed following the mystery and putting the pieces together
First entry in the Chicago Mystery, and it promises to be a great series. The primary character, Cass Raines used to be a cop. She left after being involved in a shooting caused by an incompetent cop who escalated what should have been the arrest of a teenager. Now she‘s a PI, and in this story she‘s seeking the killer of a priest who cared for her when she lost her mother. Good story, great characters. Well worth reading.
Another week almost passed - another audiobook finished. While driving I need something light that easy to listen to and I have to say that the murder mysteries by Ellicott are definitely satisfying my requirements. And I like the narrator Barbara Rosenblatt, she has got a somewhat rusty voice, which I image Beryl is having.
I started this today as my #audiowalk book. The premise is interesting, so I‘m hoping for a good listen. That polar bear was not there the last time I walked that trail. The water heater was, but today I started wondering why it‘s there.
Using the allure of a libby hold popping up to try to pull myself outta bed this morning. It's half working.
A super quick fun addition to the series! Good twists in the mystery, with lots of humor and some big red herrings. The audio narration is so good. I cannot say much without giving away the plot line, but this takes place near Christmas, and Ernest has just a few days to solve the murder before his ex-wife has to spend Christmas in jail.
This was an interesting mystery with a lot of different storylines to keep you guessing. Annie is suddenly added to her Great Aunt Frances' will, and Annie's mom is removed. When Annie travels to Castle Knoll for a meeting with her great aunt, she must solve several mysteries and a murder.
