I‘m so excited to have both Adeline‘s now, and to start the Never After‘s!! And, of course, We used to live here looks amazingly spooky! Thank you so so much @Pigpen_Reads 🐦⬛🧡❤️🔥! I‘ve been awake for forever already, so I‘m currently already using my new mug! Thank you @wanderinglynn for hosting! 💛 #hhs #hauntedhollowswap
I read the sexy, saucy and steamy sequel and it didn‘t disappoint. This is not for the faint of heart 😉😉. The way H.D. Carlton makes you fall for Zade and can‘t help but root for Zade and Addie. Loved this and I don‘t think I‘ll ever forget this story , ever!!! #HDCarlton #unforgettablestory #greatreads #greatsummerreads #topkindlebook
Wow, booktok was not joking about part 1. This was a rollercoaster of a book and quite the way to end the series. I enjoyed the return of past characters and seeing how the characters learned and grow through their challenges and emotions. This series is dark, but I‘ve enjoyed it!
I think it‘s always a tough choice for me to pick the book of the month, especially when I have multiple five star reads. However, this month it goes to a dark romance sequel. It got to the point , while reading this, that I felt like I needed emotional support. The writer wasn‘t afraid to let it be what it was, without some safe fluff in between. Though, House of Flame and Shadows takes the win for the first half of the year.
How do you rate a book? I have five things I look at when I‘m deciding how many stars to give a book. Did it pull me in and get me invested, did it give me the desired emotions, how is the world building in character development, was there a worthwhile plot and decent writing, and was there originality and creativity. This book checked all the boxes and it‘s easily a 5⭐️, but I beg you to check trigger warnings and protect your mental health.
Is there an emotional support group for those who have read Hunting Adeline… I just binged read part one and I kind of feel like I need it.😭
This book was long and I felt like sooo much happened. Once I was finished I felt like it could have been split into two books. But I devoured it. It‘s darker and more disturbing than the first book but complemented it perfectly. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
People weren‘t playing around when they told me this book was a lot darker than the first. I struggled through the first part of the book and had to set it aside a few times but once I got past the worst parts I flew through it. I had to find out how Zade and Adeline‘s story ended and I loved this book so much. I definitely look forward to Sibby‘s story now!
This was rough. Really rough.
The first half of the book is pure torture, and it is sickening to read. The author stated this is SIGNIFICANTLY DARKER than the 1st book and I didn't think that was possible. I was wrong.
There wasn't enough Daya, but I loved that Sibby was a big part of this. Sibby's the best character in the entire storyline. I also decided that I like Zade. Not in the bedroom, hell no, but outside of it... what a guy 🤣🤩😍
Oh. Oh, dear. Dear, oh, dear.
I wrote a full review about what I think about Hunting Adeline on my goodreads! Overall a fantastic read. I ate it up in about a week.
The author states this book is much darker than the first book and that is ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. Harder to read but I also could not put it down. So much pain and healing happening and Sibby is my favorite… I‘m really upset with the author about leaving us in the dark there! 4⭐️ for me! #litsylovereads
Definitely isn‘t for the faint of heart. Loved it but I had to pause a few times.
Book 9 of 2023 “The day I handed over my love to him was the first time a God fell to his knees, bowed his head, and prayed. He prayed because I gave him the one thing he could never control, and he never wanted to lose it. “Giving my heart to you was something I prayed I‘d never do,” I whisper. “But you‘ve always been a God, and I didn‘t realize my pleas were going straight into your hands. Yet they always went unanswered.”
Spice:🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Haunting Adeline was good so I‘m starting the follow up. The first one had me questioning myself so we shall see what this one brings lol. #28 of 2023
So much darker than the first. Extremely emotional but so worth it, absolutely loved the resolutions and revenge, the ending was such a well written fucked up happily ever after that somehow suited the atmosphere of the series. If you're a dark romance fan, this series should definitely be on your radar!
I honestly don't even know where to start. I grabbed this second installment because I need it to know what would happen to addy and if Zade will be able to save her. But I was so annoyed with the main characters pretty much half of the book. It was like oh hey we are about to die, let's have crazy violent sex. Smdh. It was like a train wreck but the more you wanted to look away you just couldn't. Lol.
3/5⭐️
🫣i dont know where to start with this book. I started hating it because of how zade starts the relationship with Adeline. I hated zade but then like addy i began to like him. Now im invested on the story and I need to know what happens next. 😮💨
⭐️⭐️⭐️
I definitely liked the first book better, but I still thought this one was good. I couldn‘t put it down, but definitely a lot darker than the first. If there was another book, I would definitely jump at the chance to get more of Adeline and Zade.
Y‘all this is book two in the cat and mouse duet. If you read book 1 this is 100% darker. I love Zade and I must say Adeline has the largest story arc in the history of story arcs. Spicy reading but please please please mind the TW‘s. When I say it‘s dark I almost bailed dark. #bookspin #scaralthon #TeamMonsterMash #LittensLoveRomance @TheAromaofBooks @StayCurious
Finally picked up the second book in the Cat & Mouse Duet. So, this is a very dark romance. Check trigger warnings before going into it. Zade, ah! Love him 😅
