This was such a wonderful tale in the Graceling realm. To see the rise of Queen Bitterblue as she finds herself and travels to new kingdoms is amazing. I‘m excited for the next one to see how these travels impact her kingdom.

Out of the Graceling series this was the one that I felt was so out of place. I did have the opportunity to read Bitterblue before Fire and honestly I‘m glad I did. If I read the books in publication order I would be so confused. It‘s interesting to see the other world not so far away but it sounds like it should be its our series, not tied to the story we know. It was a great adventure though!
This was a book full of twists and turns. My stomach was in knots at the end trying to figure out how Cashore was going to bring the readers any peace. Bitterblue has been a loveable character since Graceling and you get to see her growing into her role as queen and trying to solve the mysteries of her father‘s reign. Be prepared for a lot of mystery and intrigue as you go through the queen‘s reign.
This was a great read that I‘m sad I held onto for such a long time. From the world building to the character development it was a great tale of love, friendship, trust, and politics. The introduction of a Grace was such an interesting idea that always made the reader think twice about if someone was a friend of foe. Great read!
This is a super cool tale involving themes of Peter Pan. There are many twists and turns that the story takes you on it makes the book go by very fast. It was a truly enjoyable story with lovable characters.
It‘s so interesting to read how Ansel came up with his recipes and how he looks at the world through the eyes of a baker. It‘s intense to see some of the advanced recipes take 3 pages of prep, baking, and assembly over many days. However you cannot rush perfection. It gives you time to learn and grow as a baker and get the difficult techniques down. I cannot wait to start baking!
This is such a wonderful book to have in my back pocket. Whenever I need a place to turn to about small spells I just have to pull out my phone. The author is relatable and really loves sharing her experiences. This was an interesting and helpful read!
Was a heartwarming tale from The Golden Girls. Sometimes in tough situations you just need a Sophia to tell you it‘s going to be okay. Or a good old St. Olaf story from Rose. This is a great coffee table book about living life to the fullest while still being smart about it.
This is one of the coolest mysteries I have ever read. Aiden Bishop has one job, find out who murdered Evelyn Hardcastle. But solving this puzzle will not be easy. He has eight host that he must journey through and use their personalities to his advantage. And he only has one name on his mind, Anna. Who is Anna? Who is Aiden? And who killed Evelyn Hardcastle? Only time will tell.
This was such a cute and heartwarming Christmas book! Kara is a vet tech who with the help of her best friend opened a cat cafe and prays to open a low cost veterinary clinic one day. Ben is a marking specialist who‘s good deed turned into a whirlwind romance and a new friendship with a feisty kitten. From cute cats to romance this is the Christmas book for you! 🐈⬛
This is my favorite Christmas movie and one of my favorite books. It‘s my second read through and boy am I happy I read it again. When I was younger I was dissatisfied with the story but as I read it this time I realized the magic was beyond Christmas and not all neighbors are perfect. It‘s going to become a tradition to read this yearly and watch the movie 😁
What a wonderful way to start of the Christmas season of reading than with An Angels Story. This is a short tale of the birth of Christ from an angels perspective. It‘s a great reminder of the season of Christmas and a very short story to get you in the holiday mood!
I‘m grateful for the Hunger Games. Honestly this is always my favorite book and my favorite series. I will never get tired of opening up to that first line and diving into the story again. From my first to my third read it‘s comforting and a story that holds great meaning in my life. So I‘ll always be grateful for the series 😄 @BookmarkTavern - thanks for putting this together! #sundayfunday
I want to shout out @TheQuietQuill for picking some amazing reads for the All Hallows Read Swap. Rosemary‘s baby was an enjoyable spooky read and Welcome to Dahmerville was a new book that will become a classic! Thank you so much! 😄
Omg thank you @TheQuietQuill I was so excited to get these books and really wanted to read them both! Thank you so much! 😄 I have a full nights reading before me! @MaleficentBookDragon #allhallowsreadswap #bookswap
Cute book to read around Halloween and get a mental thrill from Christie‘s detective story. If you enjoy tracing through the wires and theories of detective stories then this is the book for you as always in the Hercule Pirot mystery books.
I love Stephen King, but this one was a bit rough for me. He had me hooked in the beginning and the middle… then it dwindled to this mediocre long winded time of boredom. Which I understand it was setting up for the big finale. But it was drawn out more than it probably should have been. Still a great book I‘m happy to have on my shelf!
This guy was just mailed out for the #allhallowsreadswap! I am so excited for the recipient and their aptly named town 😂 @MaleficentBookDragon thanks again for putting this together! 👻🎃
1. My favorite candy is usually Kit Kats or Twix but I‘m a sucker for any candy 😂 2. My favorite spooky book so far has been Pet Semetary. Gave me chills for days on end 😂 @TheSpineView #two4tuesday #halloween #spookyreads
Happy banned books week. How are you ‘celebrating‘ during spooky season? 😄📖📚#mockingjay #hungergames #catchingfire #balladofsongbirdsandsnakes #bannedbooks #bannedbooksweek #readbannedbooks
Alright, so I did not get through this one as quickly as So This is Love. Honestly it was not my favorite. I enjoyed the story, but it did not fit the characters. It just didn‘t have the Tangled feeling to it. Maybe it was because it was a character retelling the story during a story. I was very intrigued by the new hair though. Still a good book but not my favorite retelling.
Thank you @TheQuietQuill I‘m so excited for my #allhallowsreadswap! I‘m hiding the package away until Halloween to minimize the temptation 😅 thank you! 👻🎃 @MaleficentBookDragon
“The last notes of a pop song faded out over the movie credits, and the read world formed itself around Brendan.” #firstlinefridays @ShyBookOwl
Such a wonderful collection of tales. What I thought would be a one night read stretched into longer because a lot of the stories were thought provoking and required some logic. Good for a cozy night with a warm drink! #aesopsfables #shortstories #storycollection #fable
“He told me never again to travel with a friend who deserts you at the first sign of danger.” #aesopsfables #fable #greek
What an adorable story! I‘m so glad this was my first read on my new kindle. It gave me vibes of both the original Cinderella, the Disney movies, and some hints of fan fiction. I feel as though this was mainly a cross between the first Cinderella and Cinderella III A Twist in Time. A cute feel good read when you need it! #atwistedtale #sothisislove #cinderella #kindle
What a wonderful way to end this Twisted Tale! A beautiful lesson anyone should take note of. #twistedtale #sothisislove #disney #cinderella
This was such a cute little book from my family trip to Yellowstone! It was a quick read and would be great over an open fire with s‘mores. Definitely not the spookiest of reads but with the right atmosphere it would be! #spookyyellowstone #yellowstone #campfirereads
As always, Yana never fails to keep her readers engaged and tell a heart wrenching story. We finally got a glimpse into Baldo‘s backstory and it is even more tragic than readers were originally let onto. Readers are now left waiting for the next installment to the current arc, and I cannot wait until it is here! #blackbutler
A plot of revenge, and a little bit more. This is truly a wonderful classic that, while wordy and descriptive, is touching. How someone who has been wronged can fight for the rights of others and yet also find peace from their past. It‘s a wonderful book of coming to tranquility and acceptance of life‘s challenges and finding joy through difficulties.
Moral wounds have thus peculiarity - they may be hidden, but they never close; always painful, always ready to bleed when touched, they remain fresh and open in the heart.
Happy National Book Lovers day! Hopefully we will all be able to see images soon 😄 How is everyone spending their day? I‘ve toted my current read to work/pet sitting to read when I can 📖
I‘m so thrilled to have been gifted a new kindle tonight! I‘ve already downloaded three new books… I might need to turn off the one click purchasing 😅
This book was alright. It was cool to explore the lore and history behind the storyline. However, the storyline itself was a bit messy. The transitions were hard to follow, if there were any at all. Not my cup of tea but still a good short read.
