Creepers: Pen Pals | Edgar J. Hyde

I picked this book along with four others in the Creepers series up from the Dollar Tree. The front covers of the books intrigued me and while the lexile is mainly centered for middle-schoolers and younger, it was a fun little quick read. It reminded me of goosebumps and my childhood. This book was cute with some spookiness.

I absolutely loved this book! The sweet frenemies to lovers trope! The sweet ending about how they made a future together and had a baby. Through their trials and tribulations they ended up together and on top and it was overall a super sweet novel with some spicy scenes. It was exactly what I wanted to read going into this holiday season. It's a romance novel I'd highly recommend:)

I didn't finish the book. It just wasn't my cup of tea,. The author created a homey, interesting world within her book but I just wasn't able to finish it.

Haunting Adeline | H. D. Carlton

I was in a reading slump for a good portion of this year, I had a terrible accident and suffered an ankle break and subsequent surgery. I had not read for months and months and this was the book that got me back into a groove! I thoroughly enjoyed it and loved the dark romance, enemies to lovers vibe. The author does a good job of forwarding the readers of possible triggers. I loved reading it.

just finished this book and absolutely loved it. i have just recently gotten into romance novels and i know with the rise of booktok that spicy scenes are normalized and sought after, but this book was all sweet and a Christian sort of romance & it felt refreshing to see kind, thoughtful moments without it being focused on spicy scenes. i recommend

This is the first book I read of 2024 & shortly after I started the Netflix series because I couldn‘t get this book out of my head. This is an incredible, raw tale of a mother who never gave up. A real look of poverty in America. I recommend this book 100%!!
