Lots of fun to read this series. I love the characters. So reminiscent of Stephanie Plum. Quirky and cute and funny. Definitely a great follow up to the first book!

I‘m really enjoying this series! Totally outlandish, and so fun. This time, Finlay‘s trying to keep her ex-husband from being murdered, figure out what‘s going on with Vero, and digs a little deeper into her feelings toward Officer Nick and Law Student Julian.

Vera is still my favorite, but I also like Finlay and how she finds a solution to every imaginable (and unimaginable) situation.

Somehow this felt more chaotic and plotless than the first book. And I hadn't as much fun as I had with the first book.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ A palate-cleansing kind of series. And I mean that as a compliment! The author-turned -accidental-hit-woman and her snarky sidekick are back at it. This time, someone wants her awful ex-husband dead. It‘s funny.

HeyT I loved all three of these but this one is probably my least favorite of them. I can't wait for number 4. 1y

I absolutely love the lead characters in this book. I‘m going to immediately read the next one in the series because I can‘t get enough of Finlay and Vero. Brilliant women duo that are funny, supportive and smart. The mystery is great too. I highly recommend this series. It leaves you wanting more.

Book 2 in the Finlay Donovan series. This time Finlay discovers someone wants to kill her ex-husband and she tries to find out who. This series is fun to read and the characters are great. Except for Steve the ex-husband. I would love to get rid of him. I really enjoy reading this and am excited for the next book in the series.

I wasn't sure I was gong to like this as much as the first book, but it was just as macap and zany. Someone wants Finlay's ex-husband Steven dead, and she tries to figure out who it is so she can keep him alive and keep her kids safe.

These books are so much fun, albeit absurd. 🤣
Finlay is likeable, and relatable..and incredibly nonsensical.
But without her poor and dangerous decisions these books wouldn't be nearly as entertaining.
I can't wait to see what trouble she gets herself into in the next one!

Another glimpse into Finlay's out of control dumpster fire life. I love the mess but this one didn't quite live up to the promise of the first one and I think it's because no one expected her to kill anyone? Still this was great on audio and I had a hard time hitting stop at the end of my commute.

Second book in this trilogy. A little bit slow but again, it has absurd unrealistic funny situations. Ready for book 3 next month. Finlay and Vero are a peculiar dynamic amateur sleuth duo☺️Again, I laughed out loud with this one.

Not quite as great as the first book in the series but still a lot of fun. This time around Finlay is trying to find out who wants to put a hit out on her ex husband and things quickly get more complicated when a hit man accepts the job, her ex refuses to see that there is a threat, two men are confusing the heck out of her, and her agent still expects her next book.

This was my last book I finished in March, #bookspin.
I listened to it over audio while sitting with a little one with a stomach bug & watching Elsa for the millionth time. It was a quick, easy, fun listen. I‘m not much of a fiction reader but I‘ve enjoyed listening to the Finlay Donovan series.

I‘m quite delighted with this lite crime series. It‘s fun with a great cast of characters, snappy witty banter and solid mysteries that aren‘t overly complicated. Thanks for introducing me to Finlay @MallenNC Audio read by Angela Dawe is FABULOUS 🙌🏻🎧

MallenNC I‘m glad you‘re enjoying these! They are really fun. I agree about the audiobook— the narrator is excellent. 2y

Second book was pretty good as well, though her ex husband was annoying at times lol. Can‘t wait to read the 3rd. Does anyone know how many books are planned for this series ?

MallenNC I just read this and felt the same way about the ex-husband. He was even more annoying in this than the first. The author‘s site says a fourth book is coming out in 2024 but it doesn‘t say if there are more than that. 2y

This is such a fun series. I liked this one just as much as the first. I think Vero, Findlay‘s nanny and sidekick, is my favorite. My one criticism is that Finlay‘s ex husband is even more of a jerk in this one and I was really rooting against him. That could be toned down a little and it wouldn‘t hurt the dynamic.

Cinfhen Ohhh good!! I‘m gonna read the next book too!! 2y

Book 2 in the series. Not as Lol as book 1 but still funny, enjoyable, and finished it in one day. Finlay is trying to figure out who has a hit out on her ex, and surprisingly, it's not her. As usual, things don't go as planned, and she finds herself in hot water. If someone doesn't make these into a tv show or movie..i may riot.

Shenanigans ensue once again as Finlay and Vero set out to solve another mystery. Suspend your sense of reality just a tad and enjoy the high jinx!

The hook at the end of Book 1 made me want to read book 2. The hook in Book 2, makes me want to read Book 3.

Narrator Angela Dawe does a very good job voicing the audiobook.

I was really dubious about this one going in - the set up for it at the end of Finlay Donovan is Killing It sounded absolutely ridiculous. But with a third out this month and me trying to make my audio book goal in 2022, I turned this on. The story was not as ridiculous as I thought and the humour was as good as the first! Putting the third on hold now!

This is the second installment of the Finlay Donovan series. Much of the storyline harkens back to events of the first book which I read about 6 months ago so I did have to cast my memory back a bit. However it was a fun, fast read and I enjoyed revisiting these characters and their zany escapades.

This single mom in the middle of a new divorce turned detective mystery sequel is just as entertaining and attention grappling as the first… if not more so. Finlay and her babysitter turned partner keep the pages turning. And if they didn‘t hold your interest the steamy relationship with the cop and law student will. Very fun book.

Finlay Donovan is Killing It ended in such a way that I‘m really surprised I didn‘t start the sequel immediately. Since I needed a break from the Cork O‘Connor books, though, the 2nd book is my new walking book. Two chapters in, and I‘m really enjoying it. #audiowalk. Fergus was a needy boy today.
