Happy New Year everyone!
I‘m starting my new year with murder and hot cocoa.
How about you?
A great collection of 12 short stories with appearances by Miss Marple, Poirot, Tommy & Tuppence, and Mr. Parker Pyne. These were previously published before, now compiled in a beautiful hardback. I enjoyed some of the stories more than the others, but overall these are entertaining stories to read if you prefer something light and cozy.
It may be a stretch, but I see clouds across the moon.

While her short stories don‘t have the same depth as her novels, this was a great collection. Witty and charming with several standouts that I‘d read again. In the future I think I‘ll recommend this to anyone looking for an intro to Agatha Christie‘s writing, as it has a combination of Hercule Poirot stories, Miss Marple stories, and standalone stories. #Booked2023 #ShortStoryCollection @alisiakae @Cinfhen @BarbaraTheBibliophage
When I was younger short story was one of my favorite genres. At some point I got disillusioned, reading mostly books with 1 or 2 great stories and the rest meh, and just feeling like it wasn‘t worth my time. But this year I had a really good year with short stories! I read a few meh anthologies, but the 3 pictured reminded me how much I loved the format. I‘m going to try the tagged book next, but I‘d love recs for short stories to read next year!
Terra and I are trying to stay warm and cozy tonight.
I enjoyed this collection of 12 short stories though I have read some of them before. I still prefer her full length novels but I‘ve never been a huge fan of short stories.
Just downloaded this on audio for holiday listening and jigsaw puzzling. Does anyone have other suggestions for holiday-themed mysteries, cozy or otherwise? Thanks!
A low pick from me, as some of the stories were a bit lackluster, but a fun read!
Book 37📚 3⭐️

This short story is very good!
I'm generally not a huge fan of Christie, but I quite enjoyed this collection of short stories. #lmpbc @BookishTrish @ShelleyBooksie @BeeMagical

With just over 4 hours to go on #20in4, and only 2 hours left to squeeze my last read into #WinterGames2021, I thought I'd quickly throw up this review. A delightful collection of stories pwrfect for the season. Would definitely recommend as a great gift! ❄🎄☃️

Here are some of my selections for #lmpbc. Let me know if any catch your interest. I'm sorry I don't know how to do the neat book links.
I really liked some of these stories, but others failed to capture my attention. The first one was my favourite, I think. And I always love to see Miss Marple (Hercule Poirot, not so much). Great #audiobook narration!
Christmas present for my Grandma. Will hopefully get to read it to her in the future!
Also, yes, that is a cheeky present to myself in the background. I had a voucher to spend!!!
