Utterly compelling. Highly devourable. Uplifting & heart-wrenching in equal measure. You'll find a home in these pages & a family so vibrant that it's a wonder they don't leap right out of the book. Klune switches POVs flawlessly, penning a tale of love & loss, overcoming adversity, & finding a home. A shifter romance about an asexual werewolf, a beta that finds his pack & bonds that achieve unimaginable feats when a family finds unity once again.
Well, for once the choice was pretty easy. No explanations needed. 😅

Bookish Song Nr. 57: Porcelain Black - One Woman Army
I went to Spotify to look for a song for Robbie and Kelly, but found Jessie instead. And her crowbar.
I'm on the battlefield, like, oh my God (oh la la)
Knockin' soldiers down like House of Cards (oh la la)
I'm a one woman army (oh la la)
Yes, I'm a one woman army
(Oh la la, oh la la, oh la la)

This story, set after Heartsong, is all the feels. Really, ALL the feels. I recommend listening to the audio version, it almost made me cry. If you're a fan of the series, don't miss out on this short story.
There are heavy spoilers for people who haven't read the books yet or only just have started the series.
I'm so glad I didn't give up this series after the first book. It just keeps getting better and better with each volume. More than once I caught myself thinking “I want to ditch whatever I'm doing now and going back to Robbie.“ I was touched and more than once I had to laugh out loud. And I especially loved the ace rep ❤
I almost put both books into the final spot, it was that close. Ravensong focuses on my favorite character of the series, but Heartsong edges it out by a hair with its fractured mirror lens that refreshes the series and makes you fall in love with the characters all over again. #2023readingbracket

I got into this series after finishing Klune‘s other adult books & while I don‘t love them quite as much as his standalones, they are good & draw me in. But also because I love the Bennett pack, they make me so angsty when I read them. This is book 3 & I swear if this family doesn‘t finally get rid of the big bad & get some lasting peace & happiness in book 4 (I think it‘s the finale) I am going to protest. 😤
I was very unhappy to have to choose between Heartsong and Martha Wells' Exit Strategy for October. I suspect the final face-off for the year will be Ravensong vs Heartsong and I swear it'd be easier to walk to the moon than choose. #2023readingbracket
5/5⭐ I received an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
Magnetizing, lyrical, intense. A growing ache tears you apart. The characters you've come to know and love are shown here through a fractured mirror, the events between the last book and this one slowly becoming clearer in haunting retrospective. The core of this book sings to the core of the reader.

You're justified in your anger. But it's dangerously misplaced. This is what they want. Doubt. To pit us against one another. Because if we let anger consume us, if we let it take control, then we run the risk of losing everything we love.
I adore this paranormal series. T.J. Klune has the fantastic ability to create characters we fall in love with. This third installment showcases Kelly and Robbie who were together before this book but Robbie disappears due to an event in the previous book. Their story is angsty and so sweet. We also discover the reasons behind our big bads evil doings. This is not a standalone and books should be read in order. 5⭐️
"I only had eyes for one person. And oh, was he smiling at me as if I were the only thing in his entire world."
~ Heartsong by TJ Klune ♡ Xx
Impossibly, ridiculously, Carter whispered through a mouthful of blood, "Oh shit, I think I'm bisexual."
One of my favourite moments in Heartsong. I love Carter and Gavin so much ♡ Xx
Every moment of Heartsong was a joy to read & a whirlwind of emotion too. My Bennett pack once again sunk their claws into me & transported me to the familiarity of Greencreek, a small town with a huge secret. When Robbie is stolen away by an evil witch who took his memories & left a void in their wake, Kelly, his mate, sets upon the journey of starting their love story all over again. A must read for every lover of werewolves, witches & romance ♡
"I'm going to love you," I whispered to him. "I'm going to love you, and I'm never going to let you go."
~ Heartsong by TJ Klune.
When Robbie is stolen away, Kelly proves the extent of his love by starting their story from scratch ♡. If you‘re looking for a story of werewolves and witches and a love that smells like "Grass. And lake water. And sunshine" Heartsong is the perfect book for you ♡ Xx
"It was grass. And lake water. And sunshine"
~ Heartsong by TJ Klune.
Oh my goodness. Every time I read these books, I'm swallowed up whole out of my reality and transported into a world of wolves and witches and pack, pack, pack. Robbie and Kelly tell the story of love conquering all. Of the importance of having somewhere to belong. Of family and friends who will do absolutely anything for you. Of the safety of trees. And oh, I'm obsessed! ♡.
It's been such a perfect outside reading day that I brought two books with me! 😅🌿📚💕
Happy Friday! 🎉🎉🎉 Spent another fun, but chilly afternoon at the park! 🌿💕📚
Did anyone else hear the exciting T.J. Klune news?! The Green Creek series is getting published in hardcover in the UK this fall through Tor! *JOYFUL SCREECHING* And the best part?! The covers are being redone by the same artist who designed House in the Cerulean Sea and Under the Whispering Door! I'm hoping we'll be able to order it through a UK bookstore! 😍
It's warm again today! HUZZAH! I was able to take a really great long walk with my book! This is a part of the woods I haven't been in since the early fall. 🌿📖💕 I love this spot! It's a bit of a hike to get there, but sooo worth it because of the quiet and peacefulness!
Back at the park! Still a bit chilly, but hopeful that the weather will turn warmer soon! Continuing my plan to read this series outside only! 🌿🐺💕📖
While it started off a little confusing, it‘s all revealed with the raw intensity that TJ Kline masters in this series. I gasped, I laughed, & got upset for a hot minute. Each book is so fun to see the Greek Creek gang from another perspective, and Robbie was beautifully written. Kelly was also refreshing asexual representation! It broke me, but put me back together again by the end. 😭🤍 #werewolves #queer
This is the third book in the series. It's Robbie and Kelly's story. I listened to it on audiobook on the way to and from work and the narrator read more slowly than I do, so I had to really concentrate on staying focused on him. It was refreshing to see an actual asexual character who is happy and in a successful relationship. It was good, but not my fave in this series.
Next up! Decided to finally dive in. I discovered this series after seeing some fan art on insta 😂 I had never heard of the author and ended up loving it. I‘m normally a bit judgy of covers and almost didn‘t read it, but I‘m so glad I did. I just have to prepare myself for the wait until August for the fourth book!! This one‘s number three 😄
I‘ve been waiting for this! Finally getting to relax with it after a long day.
