I finished this earlier in the week but forgot to post my review. I put this on my TBR due to the Galapagos setting because it‘s a place I‘ve wanted to go & that did not disappoint. It is a rom-com & thus predictable, but it‘s fun. It mentions being similar to The Hating Game which I did end up liking once I got over the immaturity of the MCs & their enemies at work shenanigans. In this one both MCs are more mature & likable & ⬇️
#LuckyInLove
I picked this enemies-to-lovers book which is in my TBR mainly because it is set in the Galapagos. I have always wanted to visit & I think it would be a #RomanticGetaway 🌴🐢🩵
Both my #JolabokaflodSwap23 and #YuleSwap packages went out today! I forgot to take a post office pic, so here‘s my new old Santa randomly on the counter because I can‘t find a place to safely plug him in.

I thought this book was super cute and fun to read. It was the perfect summer book with a tropical and fun location to sink into and great characters. I loved all of the characters and I thought this was fast paced and super entertaining. Would definitely read more from this author.
This was entertaining to read while on a ship, which made me like it more than I would normally. It was the typical enemy to lover trope that I read right after I read a friend to lover trope, so I will be diving into a meatier story next. Reading spots were prime though!
I ordered a just the goodies box from the Authentic Books bc I‘ve been thinking of subscribing for a while and I am in love with everything they sent me! I got the mystery box but asked for tea and spa if possible and it‘s all high quality, small businesses, and different.
They also have cocktail and coffee options for subscribers and even a just the goodies option! I think I‘m going to cancel #botm and get #authenticbooks. Expensive but worth it
#Romance
Enemies-to-lovers, co-workers competing for a promotion have to go on a 'fact finding' cruise around the Galapagos Islands where they not only meet in person for the first time, but start to have feelings for each other. Which, of course, can't happen, because they both want this promotion.
I liked the MCs, they both had realistic flaws and character development.
Also, strong message to protect the planet.
Cute! Very Hating Game. Loved the emphasis on healthy relationships, conservation, and women‘s empowerment. Had a little bit of everything and the pacing was pretty good too! I was meh over the reason they kept fighting & the insistence that Nikolai was creepy when he honestly seemed nice! (until the dancing 😂) Hungry for Graham Crackers now, ofc 😎
Cute book! Alittle predictable but easy fun read while I was on vacation.
This rom-com has everything one needs for a poolside read. Graeme and Henley were hilarious. I really enjoyed Graeme and his steady personality. Nothing was as what it seemed with him in the best way.
May Book 6/25 #LitsyLove #bookspinbingo
Got my #SwonathonSwap package today. Thanks and I can‘t wait to open it!
I will be sending out mine tomorrow, @Ddzmini wanted to apologize for the unconventional packing material used, but I wanted to make sure the box didn‘t get smooshed.
13/100
Since Covid decided to sweep through my house, I decided to us the rest to catch up on reading. However, that did not equate to catching up on reviewing all my books 🤦♀️
This was a light hearted enemies to lovers trope. Definitely makes you want to book a trip to the Galapagos Island... or at least stare longingly at photos you Google of it 😄
A fun enemies-to-lovers romance, probably my fave romance trope! I listened on audio and the narrator did a great job.

I‘m SO glad I stuck with this because it was a really great read!
In the beginning I wasn‘t so into it- a combo of the main character really bugging me and the writing itself- but then it became an exciting story that I didn‘t want to put down. I also liked how the author talks so much about ecotourism and the wonders of the Galápagos - makes me want to go!!
This was from my very first #authenticbooks box a year ago haha took me long enough!
Every once in awhile I stumbled on a romance with tough-as-nail characters with very real, powerful voices that are muted by other characters. These stories keep me reading long into the night championing battles that are not my own; supporting fictional endeavors chapter to chapter as if my reading/"hearing" their struggle gives them the power to break through. Alas, I'm a simple reader but I hope I've convinced you to read and root for Henley,
Solid 4 star read for me. I absolutely adored the setting of this book, such a unique adventure. And I really related to the characters!
Henley and Graeme are up for a big promotion and must battle it out and come up with the best proposal while on the company cruise to the Galapagos Islands.
Only slight downfall was the writing style... it felt a bit juvenile and maybe that was just with the ARC version I read.
A cute romance for sure ❤😜
No spoilers but this.... description is wild 😂😂😂
Starting this advanced readers copy.
Not loving it so far which is disappointing because I can absolutely relate to the main character who is fighting to get a major promotion. The writing just seems a bit elementary and for a younger audience then intended.
What did you think?
A woman who works for a cruise line and the jerky co-worker she‘s up against for a big promotion at work takes a cruise with him and finds herself changing her feelings about him. It‘s fluffy and cute. Full review at https://booknaround.blogspot.com/2021/06/review-shipped-by-angie-hockman.html
June‘s #BookspinBingo card. Missed a blackout by 3 books! Maybe this month I‘ll finally hit that goal? @TheAromaofBooks
A fun sounding rom com to go along with my peaceful day.
All my walking lately helped me to blow through this book. Or did the enjoyment of this book help me do all that walking? No matter the cause I loved this funny and sweet tale of enemies to lovers and the setting of an eco-cruise in the Galapagos. Great summer read! #Doublespin #BookspinBingo #BFC21 @TheAromaofBooks @wanderinglynn
My #BookspinBingo card! With some downtime from work this month, I‘m going for a blackout. Thanks for always keeping us reading @TheAromaofBooks !
As much as I love the genre in movies, rom-com isn't really my thing in book form. But this one was a rare exception. It was predictable and not all that original, but I think what got me was the setting of the Galápagos cruise. It's one I'm glad I borrowed rather than bought, but it was still enjoyable.
And it got me a #bookspin bingo! 😀
Tonight it is #comfortfood night with homemade tomato soup and grilled cheese. 😍🍅🧀 I've also started my most recent romance read Shipped; I've seen lots of mixed reviews, so I've been curious to find out how I will react to it.
This one kept coming up as a recommendation so I thought I‘d drop it in to one of my free spots for #bookspinbingo
It didn‘t really hook me personally, but I‘d call it a solid 3 star read. Some themes I appreciated, some didn‘t really land for me.
23/100, 3☆, This was a cute romance. I loved the background if the Galopogas Islands and the cruise ship setting. It was a bit predictable, as romances tend to be but was still an enjoyable read.
Finished listening to this one yesterday. I enjoyed this one as well. Another enemies to lovers, though Henley did annoy me at times. But I really loved the ending when it came to her work. I enjoyed the cruise and the adventures they went on. It was a fun listen.
“It‘s amazing‘ how a first impression of someone can completely change once you get to know them.”
I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. So good! It was refreshing and light, but had its realistic moments. Its fate was similar to what happens when a Village Inn pie crosses our threshold—Mr. Eve will invariably eat it all. ?? I finished this in two sittings. Must find more; made packing a delight and got to armchair travel to the Galápagos.

This was such a cute and fun read! I finished it in a day, mostly because I couldn‘t put it down. It was like watching a cute rom com. The entire book was predictable but not in a bad way. It was a great read to just pass the time and be somewhere other than the real world.
I should have had this audiobook done days ago but my anxiety has been really high over getting my first COVID shot last night. Now that it‘s over I could finally focus again on what I was listening too. I really enjoyed this read. Looking forward to reading more by this author.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I LOVED my first #authenticbooks read! It‘s a vacation in a book with witty dialogue, memorable characters, and tropical adventures, but it also has depth with themes of conservationism and misogyny in the workplace. I saw this described as a “rom-com with a conscience” and loved that. The Galápagos Islands are definitely now on my travel bucket list!!
Starting this tonight.
What are you reading?
I love book mail!! 😍 Other than BOTM these are the first books that have been purchased this year!! I can't wait to dive in.
