What can I say about Fable besides that it‘s a very fitting book for me! YA fantasy with a bit of adventure, a bit of romance, and a lot of pirate action. The found family aspect in this book is something I really loved as well!

How to Fail at Flirting was an unexpected love for me. 💕

The romance between Naya and Jake is sweet and steamy and the dialogue gets pretty real and raw. This book takes on the heavy topics of domestic violence and emotional abuse with such care. I highly recommend! 💕

What a STEAMY romance!! Some have mentioned their distaste for the age difference in this book, but I‘ll just say SO many of these same people LOVE books where the male character in the relationship is way older than the woman.

The theme of female empowerment in this book is strong, and the idea of an older woman maintaining her sexuality is wonderful to see in a romance novel! ☺️

W O W. Just WOW for this book!

I want to give high praise with no spoilers so I‘ll just say that if you like a good thriller, RUN DON‘T WALK to this book right here. CoHo does such a good job of creating a story where you‘re constantly questioning what‘s real.

Also 🤯 what an amazing ending!!

AvidlyAlexis YES! Agree so much with this review. Mind blown. 4y
bluestocking.book.nerd I just had someone ask me about a copy of this one yesterday... I liked some of her other titles, so I'll be on the lookout for this one! 4y

Another pick for me! I‘ve seen so much hate for this book because it didn‘t meet the high standards that the HG trilogy gave everyone... but I really enjoyed it! It was an excuse to dive back into the world of Panem, to see how the games were created, to begin to understand the perspective of Snow! He‘s a confusing and unlikable character - that‘s the point! I recommend it to anyone who wants to return to Panem without unrealistic expectations.🖤

I have heard completely mixed reviews about this read! I‘m diving in optimistic, but I‘ll keep you posted! 🤞🏻📚🖤

Update: A tentative pick again because this book really is lovely at times, but there should be a suicide trigger warning. I would definitely recommend it to others, but I would let them know about this first!

BehindthePages I had no idea it contained anything about suicide. Your post is the first I've seen mention it. 4y
em_books @BehindthePages it definitely contains a suicide attempt! Not sure why nobody else has mentioned this 🤷🏼‍♀️ but it would be good to note, especially for people interested in this book who may suffer from severe depression and suicidal ideation. 4y

Starting book number six of the new year! Feeling proud of myself and enjoying this reading time while I have it before my spring graduate semester begins!

Trying to decide whether this one is a good choice to read directly after another seaside thriller, but we‘ll just have to wait and see! 🖤📚

Update: Finished! It took me a bit longer than the last. Definitely meh for me 🤷🏼‍♀️

LiteraryinPA I‘m enjoying your reviews! What type of graduate program are you in? I‘m currently working on my thesis for my M.Ed. in English. Even though I like the topic, the struggle to focus is real... 4y

em_books @LiteraryinLititz I‘m in an applied psych grad program! I‘m an intern as a counselor at a private practice right now. I‘ll graduate in December and then get my LGPC ☺️ 4y
LiteraryinPA @em_books Psych is cool! My thesis is on contemporary Young Adult novels that are portraying mental illness in ways that challenge disability narrative tropes. 4y
