so-so

I‘ve finished a 2nd book for the #24B4Monday #readathon with 2 half done still. This #NFNov read got only a so-so because it‘s a bare bones account of the authors amateur “ghost hunts” with only a little bit of info about each site. I was left wanting more, especially with such great sites as Waverley Hills & Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum being two of the places visited. #TIL-Transorbital lobotomies were invented at Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum

I‘ve seen all the Ghosthunters episodes based there plus a few documentaries. It sounds amazing. And terrifying. And amazing👻👤👥👤 5y

jb72 @Lizpixie It is actually quite amazing. It was strictly built for tuberculosis patients. If you were employed there, you lived there. They were self contained. They have different tours. I went on the short Sunday afternoon tour. Still very good. It definitely has a creepy vibe to it. 5y

Bk5 of my #libraryhaul is another #NFNov read. I‘ve been fascinated by hauntings since I was really young, I had an experience in my house when I was about 11yrs old. Since then, I‘ve read anything I can get my hands on, watched so many movies & documentaries & been on a few ghost tours. One of my fave shows was Ghosthunters, they did episodes in most of the places in this book, most memorable, especially the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum.

ljuliel Did you know Ghosthunters is back on ? I don‘t get cable, but I saw it advertised on YouTube. Grant is in charge of that, with all new people. Jason started a new show called Ghost Nation and he has Steve and Tango with him. 5y

Wife Once I think I saw a ghost when taking a test in the middle of a full classroom. I was keeping my eyes on my test, but in my peripheral vision, I saw someone walk by and leave the room. But then realized that the door was closed and I didn‘t hear it open or close. Creeped me out!👻 🚪 5y

Lizpixie @ljuliel is it? That was the show that I finally made a bogus itunes account for years ago coz it wasn‘t available in Aus. I knew there had to be a reason for Grant leaving, the excuse they gave was so flimsy. I never liked Jason much but I adore Steve & Tango. I‘ll have to track both down, thank you!🙌 5y

Lizpixie @Wife that sounds awesome. I‘ve had two definite encounters, the 1st was in my bedroom when I was 11 I think, I was sitting on our trundle bed with a full drink, heard our dog under the bunk, put the drink down & turned, knocking over the cup. I heard a clink turned back & the drink was on top of the dressing table. With no one else in the house! Plus all the cold spots & feelings of being watched. 5y

ljuliel I‘m guessing Grant left because of Jason . I know a few times on the shows , they‘d bicker a bit about how mean Jason had been to one of the others. I always liked Steve and Tango. They‘re really funny together , but now that it‘s just them and Jason, they‘ll probably try to behave a bit more. He‘s a grouch. I believe in ghosts too. Positively. 👍🏼 5y

Guess who‘s going to Waverly Hills in August for the haunted tour! ME! 🙋🏼‍♀️ I‘m super excited. Next month I‘m going to find some books about the place and read a bit.
