⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 🎆
The episode of my podcast about Sarah Dessen‘s This Lullaby was one of my favorites of last year, so I was so excited when this week‘s guest opted to discuss another of Dessen‘s novels, Keeping the Moon. 🌙 Tune in to hear us chat about the 2019 Sarah Dessen Twitter drama, our complicated thoughts on the main character‘s arc, the fictional love interests that ruined us as teens, the makeover trope of the ‘90s, and more. 🎧 Link to listen in bio!
A book of love, friendship, growing up, and building confidence. Sarah dessen does it again for me. If you have read her other books you know what to expect.
What Colie expects to be the worst summer of her life visiting her aunt, turns out to be a summer of confidence, love and friendship.
I received this book as a gift from my aunt Karen many many years ago. It has withstood my many moves and my hard times. I love this book and cherish it as a gift and as a memoir to an easier life.
1. I have read all of Sarah Dessen's books. Now that I am reading again, I am going to try to read the entire works of various authors as I figure out what I like again.
2. No, not a fan at all.
3. 10 😅

I loveee this book!! Not finished yet but it‘s awesome so far I love the characters especially Mira she‘s so funny!! 10/10 recommend
The ending is a bit different than most of her books, but it still is a great read. Exactly what I needed to read right now. Colie may seem annoying but honestly, I acted exactly the same way when I was her age. Dessen really does have a knack for getting into the minds of all kinds of girls.

I didn‘t think I‘d take to this book since Colie is 15 and going through a bit of an emo phase (I remember my own cringingly). But it‘s been some time since I last read this and I forgot how alike we are: the bullying, the self esteem issues, the exuberant aunt. It‘s becoming a real soothing comfort for me, since right now I‘m having what I‘ll fondly call “post-adolescent problems”.
The bottom two I got for free at a local thrift shop and the top 3 I went to pickup at the Book Mine. After some perusing and almost getting lost I‘ve found that they have 102 “aisles”. But some aisles are further divided into letters (like 78C and 78D). I love this store, it‘s like my heaven. I even found the largest book I‘ve ever seen (an international dictionary)!

The butterfly is a #bug that does not make me scream and run far far away which is pretty rare in an insect. It is pretty embarrassing really. Anyhoo, this was one of the first Sarah Dessen books I ever read and a great reminder of how much I do not like her later covers. This is a clean, simple cover and I would be comfortable reading this in public. The newer edition of this book- not so much. Bad covers #bug me. #sizzlinsummerbooks
Sarah Dessen is one of my favorite authors to read in the summer because they are nice, easy reads, and she always writes the characters with so much growth! This book is about self love!
Even though this wasn't my favorite of Dessen's novels, I still appreciated the overall message of self-love and acceptance, which is the perfect theme for the YA audience. Colie's journey and self-growth while in the gorgeous coastal town of a Colby makes for a beach read with heart.
I was not sure about this book going into it but it turned out to be a simple cute story and I enjoyed it so much! I shouldn't have been surprised since this is what Dessen is best at!

Alright Saturday let's do this! I am excited to reread an old favorite for #24in48 because you can't go wrong with Sarah Dessen. Happy weekend reading!
#readjanuary Day 6: dreaming of a warmer climate. We're expecting snow and slush this weekend in Georgia, and I'm dying for a sunny day at the beach. ☀️ 🕶 @RealLifeReading
I started reading this book last week, just because I hear so much about Sarah Dessen and I had never read any of her stuff, but it became a real lifeline for me after the election. I was so upset that I just turned off the news and all my podcasts on the chance that even the non political ones would talk about the election, and listened to this audiobook.
Enjoyable read about a girl gaining her self-esteem and coming into her own.
Here's the closest wall and what I'm #currentlyreading My weekend hasn't started the way I thought it would but I'm eager to start the #24in48 challenge now!! @24in48
Picked this book up again. I'm trying to be better about finishing books I start. Snuggled up with my fur baby Falkor.
