I had to squeeze in some Anne of Green Gables for #FoodAndLit #Canada
I just love this book. Anne and her scrapes are so much fun.
Now on to Finland!

Well, I mean I agree…don‘t do things halfway!
Thanks to bookwormbecky1969 on Instagram, I was able to choose 4 books using the gift card I won from her. I recently purchased book 3 in The Bleeker Street Inquiry Agency series so I needed 1 & 2. Anne of Green Gables & Emma are for upcoming book club reads with #whatthedickensbookclub 📚

Merry Christmas to all the Littens celebrating today! ❤️🎄
Love and light to all the Littens who don‘t celebrate Christmas or who are having a tough time with this year‘s holiday ❤️🕯️
This was hard. I have a lot of favorite children‘s books. But Anne is definitely near the top.

“I‘m so glad I live in a world where there are octobers.” October is my absolute favorite month. It is pouring rain here today but I‘m so happy fall is here. 🍁 📚 👻 Happy to light my Anne‘s Octobers candle and set up some spooky decor.
This was completely delightful. I love Anne's outlook on life.

Finished listening to this while crocheting granny squares this morning. I wish I had read this series as a kid but it‘s been delightful listening to it now.
A cold foggy winters morning is best spent with an audio book, oodie and hot coffee while crocheting!
Struggling to read with my eyes and head currently…so going to listen to this for a bit.
My used books in search of a new home. You can find these, along with others, on PangoBooks | handle: @ellie_ember | https://pangobooks.com/bookstore/ellie_ember
First book of 2022 completed. And yes, I cried like a baby at the end.

Anne always speaks the truth. 😁❤️
I decided to read this after watching Anne with an E on Netflix. I was really sad that it wasn't renewed for another season so decided to read the book. It was a little hard to read because it was written so long ago but listening to the audi0book made it a little easier. Of course some of the things were the same but a lot of it was different.
I loved this I felt like Anne was me when I was little, her love of reading and playing outside, the way everything is tragic or romantic . Hanging her hopes on everything and looking forward to things with such excitement she‘s almost sick . I was the same as a kid in every way !! My upbringing was very strict and religious . Anne‘s upbringing is what I wish mine could have been as far as being allowed to do more things as she did in the book.
I read “Anne of Green Gables” over and over again when I was growing up, and Anne is still one of my favorite fictional characters.
I recently re-read “Anne” for the first time in years and was glad to find that its charm and humor remained intact. However, the edition I read had several typos, which marred my pleasure in rediscovering an old favorite.
The movie was my childhood, so as an adult I decided to pick up the book. I loved every adventure Anne took me on and was pleasantly pleased with how well the movie stuck to the book. Anne will always be a role model for me and Gilbert Blythe will always be the husband I will never be able to find. 4/20/2021-4/25/2021

1. My favorite thing about Spring is the nicer weather and flowers blooming. ☀🌸
2. I read whatever I feel like. I'm not a seasonal reader. I'm an emotional reader who reads based on how I feel in that moment.
3. Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery. Classic and always gets me in the feels.
Caught up today on the #kindredspiritsbuddyread
I can't believe it took me THIS long to start AoGG series. I'm 30 &read book one for the first time this past week. Needless to say, I loved it. I wish I had known Anne growing up. I think her imagination &ever-growing optimism would have done a younger me very well. I loved through-out the first book she was fearlessly herself. I can't wait to step into GG again, but I'm making my way through some library holds.
4/5 🌟

#7books7days day 4
I totally forgot to continue this! I will make the rest of my posts tonight. I read all of the Anne series in 5th and 6th grade, and I just felt like Anne was a kindred spirit! I loved how long the story kept going, and I remember being in love with the prose. I need to go back and read the series as an adult!
#7Days7Books Day 2
For the next 7 days, I will show 7 books that remained in my mind, have left a last impact. No further comments!
“you hear such stories, orphan boys setting fires to barns, sucking on eggs“
I would give this book to my 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. This book may be too hard for younger kids but great for this age range. This is the time when they will be interested in these events and be able to read a long story about it.
This is a historical fiction chapter book. This book reveals a sense of feeling without feeling artificial. The characters really come alive and help you learn about the events that have happened before. The character and setting are both portrayed very well and come alive through the pictures.
I love this series! This book series is probably the biggest reason that I love to read so much. I really connected with Anne then and now! I always go back and read the series when I get a chance. L M Montgomery was an amazing author. One day I am going to travel to Prince Edward island. I hope there are some kindred spirit's out there!
I mentioned in a previous post for #FallisBooked that I think of Anne of Green Gables in the fall. It‘s probably one of my favorites to read again. This year I decided to listen to the Rachel McAdams narrated audiobook. I‘m liking her voice on this so far. #FavoriteFallRead
Hey there #GroupC friends! I'm kind of leaning towards choose a children's classic for my contribution. Any thoughts on these? They are actually all old favorites of mine rather than something new. I'm not completely sure that The Code of the Woosters counts as a classic, but it should, because it's the funniest book ever written. :-D I'm tagging the rest of the books in the comments!

I am patting myself on the back for being SUCH A GROWN-UP today. I *really* wanted to buy these... but I already own all 4, and I don‘t need them, just because they‘re pretty. But gah! They‘re so so so lovely. 😍😍😍
Did a little reading at the river yesterday.... the most beautiful scenery!! I‘m on book 4 of the Anne of Green Gables series...taking it way back!
