Peter Pan is one of those books that you can read again and again. It‘s fun, lighthearted and magical. I have always LOVED the idea of flying, and, well, “He can fly!" ! And the whole thing about NOT growing up is kinda appealing as well. 4.9 ⭐️

readingjedi Maybe it says something about me that I found the original J.M Barrie text to be ominous, snarky and at times downright weird. I found the narrative voice to be creepy and the whole thing rather death obsessed!!! 6y
lover.of.the.classics @readingjedi Boys will be Boys. And Peter Pan is the only one that will stay that way forever. Boys enjoy playing rough. So I find no problem with it, plus Neverland is a land of make believe, everything is a game to Peter. And as for Hook, he is supposed to be evil otherwise why would they have to stop him? 6y

Hey, how much do y‘all think this is worth? It does not have a copyright , date or isbn number.

Palimpsest You should check with Abe books or Alibris or check the going rate on eBay or Etsy. Even though there isn‘t a date you may find it by searching title and publisher. My mom has an old version of this book too, but I don‘t know the value. Not sure what the cover of yours is looks like. Good luck! 6y

I LOVE the quick wit of Sherlock Holmes! There were some that I was able to tell who did it, but most of them I was stumped on! And not going against anyone here, but I like the character of Holmes in the books WAY better than the BBC version of him. John was good too, I really enjoyed the memoir style of it.

Pip2 I‘m going to read this entire series for the month of February. I‘m looking forward to it! 5y

Well I FINALLY finished this one. It was we worth my time. The life of Lillian Trasher was truly extraordinary, and has inspired me! She let The Lord lead her life into some marvelous adventures. She was a great woman of faith, and I finished this book wanting to learn more about her and God. And to do more for the later.

TheAromaofBooks We had this whole series growing up! I remember thoroughly enjoying learning about the lives of some more recent saints. I was especially inspired by Hudson Taylor. 6y
lover.of.the.classics @TheAromaofBooks I Love them so much! And if you look at my post from 2 months ago you would see that I actually just bought Hudson Taylor!!! He is one of my favorite missionaries to read about. Have you read the Johnathan Goforth one? 6y

I would probably give this book a 3⭐️ rating. I enjoyed the fantasy in it but there was too much language for my taste. Merlin was somewhat endearing, he is a lonely old man stuck forever in the body of a 20 something year old. His friends and loved ones are always going where he can‘t follow (aka death). And it‘s sad.

It is a GREAT book!

This book was great! Very informative and keeps you interested. There was a little bit toward the end that I didn‘t think I really wanted to know about the man that killed John Wilkes Booth. But other than that it did not get gory or boring.

This book was HORRIBLE! It started out pretty bad, but I kept reading thinking/hoping that it would get better better. But sadly it did not. Every other book that I have read that was written by Ann Rinaldi was GREAT, I guess I was just a little disappointed.

Just_reading This was on my to-read list. I usually love Ann Rinaldi too but I guess even the best authors are allowed some fails! 6y
lover.of.the.classics @Just_reading It is well written, it‘s not sluggish or boring, but the story is very, very sad. I mean in the end she ends up accidentally killing her best friend, who is also her brothers lover. 6y
