Here‘s my review for a book I just finished reading. I‘m rereading books 1 and 2 so I can finish reading this series this summer.
I‘m currently reading this book. I‘m rereading books 1 and 2 in The Program series by Suzanne Young so I can finish reading this series this summer. This is just as good as I remember.
I couldn‘t decide what series I wanted to finish this summer so I added the 8 book series I want to finish to this random image wheel and this is what the wheel chose. I‘ve been wanting to finish this series for awhile. This summer, I will finish reading The Program series by Suzanne Young. I read the first two books and I liked them but I never continued with this series.
A world where suicide is an epidemic and they have to fight against a mind controlling program.
Book 14🎧
Suicide is now an epidemic among the young & The Program is the only cure. A sickness that must be contained no matter the cost.
Very interesting story and amazingly written! Hope, heartbreak and hell, all wrapped up. Can‘t wait to see where BK2 takes us!🚨
September Wrap Up!
I read 15 books this month.
My faves were Frost Blood, The Seven Ways We Lie, Like Water, The Program, And Then There Were None, The Devil You Know & The Chaos of Now.

This was another book I have owned for YEARS and honestly just forgot about it, finally gave it a read after seeing recommended in a video and I did really like it, there were a lot of issues though and hits on some pretty heavy topics but it's definitely worth the read.
In a world where suicide is contagious and has become an epidemic among teenagers, the Program was created. It is supposed to stop the contagion. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I haven‘t go far into this book but from what I know I love it. It is a real good read and you can get trapped in the book. It‘s a world where if you have depression you have to go somewhere called that program and when you come out you have no memories left to be depressed about it‘s a great read.
My friend lent this book to me has a not so kid friendly story, I would recommend this book to anyone who likes non fiction books
First one was good. 2nd one I barely finished. Plot didn't make sense and the order of events didn't seem logical. Too much teen angst in 2nd one.
This was a solid example of YA dystopian fantasy. It has that good rebellious spirit that such books often invoke. The subject matter is, however, very sad and a little bit triggering. Not for the faint of heart.
This was such a pleasant surprise!
I started reading this book with low expectations, and now cannot wait to start the second in the series!
The Program is set in a time where teen suicide is at all-time high. It is an epidemic. But with The Program, depressed teenagers can have all those sad memories erased from their mind.
But will they ever be the same?
Main character Sloane loves her boyfriend James and surely they‘ll never forget that...
“You're right, you know," he says. "You're just right for me. And I'd bet my life that we've done this before. Because I can't imagine that I wouldn't have fallen in love with you the first time.” James to Sloane

5/5 of this book. Today i will be doing a throwback on the quotes i loved while reading the first book out of the program series. At first i thought this book would be some hunger game or divergent kind of plot but it is very different and unique. If you or a loved one has dealt with a mental health issue this book is a very good match. It also comes with an amazing love story to cover behind it. Very beautiful!
Thank you so much @tracey38 !!!! You were so generous! I can‘t wait to dive into these books, and my living room is always so chilly when the weather turns, that the throw and socks will come in handy!!
I loved your personal notes as well. It was great to get to know you that way!!

I really suffered through this book, however the end left me super hopeful that the rest of the series might be better. It was really a slow start and a lot of it felt like filler, but the end left a good set up for book two. I'm not sure if I will read on, but we will see how I feel after I finish other books I've started.
Just started this audiobook now that I'm back at work. It is an interesting topic, so I'm looking forward to it.
Just finished!! And it's amazing! So thought provoking on what our society can spiral into in only a matter of months. And on top of that is beautiful romance that makes me only raise the bar higher for my future husband. So, in conclusion, just read this book, you'll be so happy because of it.
Thanks for hosting such a fun giveaway, @keys_on_fire , and congrats on the milestone!!
1) in 1999 I was in 4th grade and my family went to a turn of the century party where everyone dressed in huge dresses from the 19th century. Then the drunk men thought it would be funny to cut the circuit breaker at midnight lol.
2) I don‘t read a lot of sci-do, but I love The Program series (YA). A recent relaxing read was The Hating Game. #L2KGiveaway
The setting is so unique and the concept of the story is so different from all the other dystopian YA books!
A thing I have an issue with - specifically regarding the audiobook - is the narrator. Not the biggest fan. Especially when reading the dialogues of the male voices.
Nonetheless, the story is super cool and unique! Will definitely continue with the other books in the series. 😁
Intrigued! The subject matter is a bit delicate, dealing heavily with suicide and depression but the setting is very creative and intriguing.
Got two new audiobooks to listen to while reading Call Me By Your Name. 😁❤️😍
Finished this reread. I love how quick of a read these books are- they just suck you in. :)
When a not so great great narration is ruining your #readathon plans! 😭😨😩😫😡 I‘m hoping another I have on hold comes in the next few days, otherwise I need to rework my #TBR or power through this one.😂 #rereadathon2018 #audiobook
High praise for The Program series by Suzanne Young. Fast, entertaining reads that left me pining for more. The series centers around an epidemic in which suicide is the consuming disease. In order to deal with the crisis, The Program is created to prevent adolescents from harming themselves. But The Program proves to be far more sinister than the adults in society perceive it to be.
#YAL #dystopia #3 Suicide is an epidemic, and panicked parents send kids to "The Program" at any sign of depression. The Program guantees results by erasing memories. Great premise, but this one misses the boat. Instead of delving into the causes of depression and making connections with today's issues, it's 90% love story: think Romeo and Juliet meets The Vow. But, it has a good pace and enough intrigue to make it readable. 3.5/5 #bookseries
This is way more interesting and generally better than I thought it was going to be. #readmyowndamnbooks

Hello Litsy World! It has been so long till I last posted! On IG I'm almost done with my autumn photo shoot and I'm loving it so much! 😍 what are you currently reading? I just updated my reads in bio.

1). Harry Potter, but if you made me pick something less predictable it would be The Program series. Loved it!!
2) All of them except ketchup.. mayo, mustard, relish EWWW
3) Snakes, cockroaches (still have to deal with those thanks to NYC 🤢), and oddly specific, veering off the road into a river and drowning trapped in a car.
4) 1 older sister, 1 brother-in-law, and Nathan the dog 🐶
5) Yay new FriYAYintro-ers!
I'm so frustrated by this book. I didn't love it, but it ended on a cliffhanger! 😫 Why?!! Anyone else read this series? Is it worth continuing?
I read this book in one sitting. I liked it a while lot more than I thought I would and that epilogue killed me!

Originally this book was supposed to be a summer reading assignment for my brother, but after reading the synopsis I stole it from him and read it as quickly as I could. I love how The Program is different from most of the previous dystopian novels I have read in the past as well.
I didn't get to do much reading in April. This month I'm hoping to get back to a lot more reading & my goal is to update all my reading challenges.
