Georgie‘s childhood crush, Travis, is back in town from a baseball injury. Travis needs a good image for a new job, so him and Georgie decide to fake date until then. But then they grow to have real feelings for each other.

This one was so cute. I wish I read it as a physical or e-reader. For some reason, I didn‘t like it as an audiobook. I liked both the characters‘ arcs and the plot. The writing was okay, could‘ve been better.

Well well well. This was a cute book with some very spicy scenes that I did not expect. Can‘t say I was disappointed tho… the opposite actually. 😈😎💋I‘ll definitely be reading the other two in this series. :)

4.5/5⭐
I really enjoyed this! I am not a romance reader by any means but I loved the chemistry of Georgie and Travis. I loved their backstory and their current story. Everything seemed (mostly) real and believable. I was rooting for them the whole time! Looking into reading more from Tessa Bailey!

Marni Finished this yesterday and loved it SO MUCH 4y

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 This book checked most of my boxes for this genre. Make it a more diverse cast of characters with a more experienced heroine and it would have them all. This one will be a reread on the days I need an escape. I finished it in roughly 24 hours. #romance #explicit

Starting this tonight while all my other books I'm currently reading silently judge me from my nightstand. 🤭🙈 READ ALL THE BOOKS! (Sometimes...ALL AT ONCE!)
I am all over the place lately with reading. I cant settle into any one thing. However, I am perfectly content juggling 5 or so books at once right now. 😁

A fun new romance series! This one had great chemistry between the characters and interesting back stories. The characters were well-developed and they went through complex growth together. Super hot and pretty explicit. Looking forward to more of these characters!

Avoid this book; it is truly awful. Worst read of the year so far.

This was a fun, steamy read. Georgie needs to change her image to be treated like an adult. Travis is trying to find himself after an injury prematurely ended his baseball career. Georgie has always lusted after Travis, but she‘s his best friend‘s little sister and has always been invisible or off limits. Sparks fly.

I strongly disliked the older brother and his wife, but otherwise a solid cast and good story.

I like this book. Georgie is a professional clown and her family doesn't take her seriously, she also has had a crush on her brothers best friend Travis for years.
Georgie and Travis decide to do a pretend relationship, that turns out to be a real relationship quickly.
The only thing I didn't like is his frequent mention of calling Georgie "baby girl". It got annoying

A friend recently proclaimed this ‘too graphic to listen to as an audio book‘, I was sceptical - but now that I‘ve read it - I see her point! Quick read, slightly rushed ending but I enjoyed it!

Super cute and sexy romance from Tessa Bailey. I was intrigued after seeing her at a book festival! Georgie is never taken seriously, being youngest sibling and also a literal clown for children's parties. Travis, a professional baseball player (in more ways than one, he is nicknamed "Two Bats") was forced to retire because of injury and is back in town. They pretend to date to change their reps. 5⭐ fun.

Tessa Bailey's Fix Her Up is a fun, steamy with a pair of engaging protagonists at its center. Georgie Castle has had a crush on her older brother's best friend Travis since she was a kid. But he was always out of reach, especially when he left their hometown for a career in professional baseball. (continued in comments)

UnabridgedPod After an injury ends his time in major league baseball, he returns home to wallow. Georgie decides that she has to help him recover from his loss, and they embark on a friendship and, eventually, a fake romance designed to move both of them forward.⠀

The novel is funny and swoony and just a perfect weekend read. I look forward to the next book in the series!

I tidied up, put in a load of wash, and started some oatmeal, so now I feel entitled to chill with coffee and my book for a bit. Later I get a massage, visit my MIL who broke her ankle, and talk to a lady about another yoga job - all good things but a little introvert time is warranted first (my massage therapist and I gossip the whole hour 😆). What are your Saturday plans?

Friday night vibes. I have to say that when the MC in the tagged book wears a class of 2012 t-shirt, my gut just went “ooofff... you are so old, Ms. Class of 1997” It‘s a pretty cute story so far and a great break from the dark of the King book.

Maybe because it‘s baseball season that I want to make a stupid reference and say this book hit it out of the park! It is one of my favorite romances of the year, light, funny, with a great heroine! I didn‘t know how I would feel about the clown bit at first but it was fun! Travis hot and but the sex scenes were so steamy, had me blushing. I usually don‘t like the adult virgin storyline but I rolled with it and really enjoyed reading this book.

5/5 stars. This book was sooo good!!! I loved the easy going- fun loving nature of Georgie, and at first Travis was the “nothing redeemable” character, but by the end of the book he is so much more!

I know this is a well-reviewed book, and I know a lot of people love it, but it was not for me. The pacing was weird, the main character was childish the love interest was gross (he calls her “babygirl” and his dick “two bats.” Seriously.) and so much of it was…cringeworthy. The sexy scenes made me laugh so loud I scared my dog, which was probably not what the author intended.

Writing was mediocre, buts its not like I was expecting much. The romance was blah. Sex scenes were not hot, I laughed out loud a couple times. Also, him calling her 'baby girl' was so cringy, especially before they had anything going on. At one point she said something about her excitment was a over excited koala dancing on her bladder or something. I don't remember the quote, because i already returned this and I can't be bothered to look it up

Susanita Unintentionally funny sex scenes! Yeah that doesn‘t sound good. 5y
Kaylamburson Yes, I definitely had an eyebrow raised moment with that koala quote. There were a few real weird ones like that and I had no idea what the author was attempting there lol 4y

Completed my Reading Challenge with this book! Such a nice read! Georgie was great and I liked the humor. This wasn‘t overly filled with drama, which is a big plus for me though I wasn‘t the biggest fan of Travis calling her baby girl. I just kept thinking of With the Fire on High which is definitely not the right connotation lol. Still pretty cute though and overall such a supportive relationship! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I liked this. This was good for a weekend read to avoid the world. It was very similar to a book I JUST read so I compared them as I read along - which annoyed me. I would have liked it better if I were not comparing ex-baseball player romances.

Dogearedcopy Just out of curiosity, what is the other ex-baseball player romance? (edited) 5y

I binged the first half and only stopped because I had to go to work then I stalled on the second half and it took me a month to finish. Part of it was me (I was rear-ended on my way to work after that morning) but part was the flimsy fake dating pretense and the reluctance of both MCs to talk about things that really mattered and then the final conflict and resolution. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I still enjoyed it. Tessa does great banter and hot sexy-times. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This story could have been 5☆ for me, I'm always up for a good romantic comedy. Yes, the storyline has been overdone: big brother's best friend returns home to discover friend's little sister has grown up. Regardless, the story had great potential, the backstory and character development was good. HOWEVER... THE GAUDY SEX SCENES WERE TOO MUCH! They felt disconnected from the characters and I hated it and had to skip ahead in places. What a loss :(

WanderingBookaneer That‘s how I felt about 6y
Heatherfeather @WanderingBookaneer The romance industry is now packaging "standard" romances (with open-door sex scenes) as more women's fiction-y. And I feel like it's confusing the readers. Tessa Bailey is known for the sex in her books, and yet you'd never know it by this cover. ? 6y
charl08 I thought this cover was a bit syrupy, but then I'm not a fan of the 6 pack ones either. 6y
