⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 I really enjoyed this book. A little too slow burn for my taste, but that last quarter was magical. And the characters were so wonderful.

I absolutely loved this book. Features a smart, successful woman. Diverse female lead. Banter is perfection. Will most definitely read it again. TW: domestic abuse (not by the hero)

This was a cute book. A little too slow for the first half, but adorable banter and a lot of pop culture references that I always love. You‘ve Got Mail meets Cyrano (or Roxanne)

Tagged book was my fav this week. Super excited about the From Blood and Ash series, the first book has sucked me in!
Actually completed a readathon!! Was hoping to finish one more, but didn‘t quite manage. Also, more evidence that I can read books faster than I can listen to them
First time in over a year that I‘ve gotten a pedicure. Fully vaccinated self care at its finest

Second in the Well Met series. A great follow up, but you should definitely read them in order. Halfway through I thought it had all be solved too quickly, and then BAM, DeLuca hit me with another obstacle. Thoroughly enjoyed this one and can‘t wait for number 3!

I was disappointed. I really loved the first two books in this series. And this book really had me for the first half. And then it just fell flat. The tension building ended up with no chemistry between the main characters. I was disappointed.

Current reads! Excited to have 2 books I‘ve been looking forward to gang are so very different.
“I tried to think of what might be causing this distress.
There was a finite number of issues that could be bothering
someone who didn‘t yet know about things like taxes and
existential dread.”
I am already loving this book!!!
1. Yes, but not simultaneously. I will listen while I‘m driving or doing other things, but will read when I‘m able to sit and focus.
2. Audiobooks have gotten me through the pandemic. I couldn‘t focus enough to read, but I could listen whole crocheting or cleaning or playing mindless games on my phone. I was able to read so many books this way!!
I tagged my favorite audiobook

I never would have guessed a book taking place at a renaissance faire would be my thing, but this book has sucked me in so much I want to take a sick day and just read! I have to find out what happens with the black leather clad pirate...

3rd in the Hot and Hammered series. Switched from audiobook to ebook when the Texas accent the narrator was attempting just didn‘t work for me. Picturing my favorite Texas characters/people worked better for me. This book was a fun enemies to lovers story that was 🔥🔥🔥
I had been struggling with this audiobook. The narrator‘s version of a male Texas accent just wasn‘t working for me. I switched to the Kindle version and it helped, but it still wasn‘t right. Than I started picturing the character as Tim Riggins (Friday Night Lights) and now it‘s perfection.
Finally went back into a bookstore after a year. Came out with this one that I can‘t wait to read!

This was a powerful book that looks at the impacts of racism and the justice system through the lens of one marriage. It was eye opening and heartbreaking.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Well this book was an absolute joy. If you‘re looking for 🔥🔥 as opposed to slow burn this book has it. The storyline was very compelling and the characters I got attached to quickly. I will definitely be reading the next in this series. #read2021 #booked2021 #mustacheoncover

So excited about my new dip powder manicure kit! One more thing to do while I listen to my audiobooks.

I enjoyed these characters. The female lead was strong and intelligent and wasn‘t just waiting around for a man to save her. #read2021
I loved the Bridgerton Netflix series. The books haven‘t been my favorite books, but definitely entertaining. Trying to finish number two in the series before Libby auto returns it, and definitely enjoying the story!

Never read it in high school, so it‘s been on my list forever. Glad I finally read it, but just not my cup of tea. #read2021

I really liked the premise and the fact the two characters were single parents in their late 30s, but the barrier to their relationship I didn‘t like, and I didn‘t like the resolution. It seems very unrealistic. I really wanted to love this book but it just fell flat. #read2021
Saw this meme today and thought YES! I‘ve been going through my TBR and getting rid of stuff that‘s been there for years but I never feel like reading. It‘s liberating! Tagged is my favorite local independent bookstore.
