Since its first publication in 1937, 'Think & Grow Rich' has been considered the best self-help book in the world. The book is often called the first Philosophy of Personal Achievement; it will not just change what one thinks, but it will literally change the way one thinks.
Money is shy and elusive. It must be wooed and won…
Starting to realize why this book is a bestseller since the early 1900s. ✨✨✨
“When a man really desires a thing so deeply that he is willing to stake his entire future on a single turn of the wheel in order to get it, he is sure to win.” -Napoleon Hill
By all of the wonderful reviews given, I was not expecting this book to have been written so long ago lol What I enjoyed most were the different stories about the people. While I agree that your mindset plays a big part in your success, I was honestly expecting more from this book. I will reread it again in the future to see if I get more from it.

Well, I certainly wasn‘t expecting a book written in the 1930s to talk about the “vibrational energy” of money, but since I‘ve been reading a lot about that lately, I was open to the concept. I don‘t agree with everything in this book, but I did get some good takeaways.
If you like some good motivation and if you have a less confidence go for this
Plot twist:
There is something written on the cover page and there is also highlighting in book 😒
Ive been on a motivational kick lately!
Trying to turn my side hustle into a legitimate business.
Its not easy.
BUT everywhere i look people are talking about this book,
Think And Grow Rich and how it changed their lives.
So...Thriftbooks for the win and let the motivation begin!
Also ignore my stack of plaid pants, i was multi-task picture taking!!! 🙃
I wouldn't say that it's a must read, but there are few points which will make you think about what you are and how you are.
“Our only limitations are those we set up in our own mind.”
This was good but I don‘t know that it lived up to the hype for me. The part I enjoyed most was the section about the imaginary “cabinet.”
Who would be in yours?
Today‘s listen.
This classic holds the key to building wealth, even in modern times. A must read.
This is between a pick and so so for me.
1. I listened to this on audio, but it would be much better in physical format.
2. This author gave some very sound and usable advice on the subject of money. I felt like he did get off topic a bit twice, but overall it was good.
3. Wealth building has a lot to do with your state of mind.
Words are hard to stitch together for this modge podge of pro-capitalist fangirling, genuine self help advice, and what the fuck stories. One minute in reading about developing self confidence and then reading about how the author refused to get his earless son a hearing aid, or special schooling, as he decided his son simply wouldn‘t be deaf; through some weird twist of fate he did gain hearing (allegedly). Weird and of a generation passed, 7/10

I am going to try out the #bookspin with @TheAromaofBooks
I already had a list of books for my own personal challenge this year. So I‘m using that minus a few to make it 20.
#24B4MONDAY #readathon
Time ~ 5.5 hours
I‘ve finished one book (The Bookseller of Kabul) and I‘ve started two more (Pandora‘s Lab and Think and Grow Rich). After I finish some IRS paperwork, my plan is to read and get at least halfway through the tagged book.
I love this book. The spirituality behind success is vital in getting it done. The words, composure, mindset is all covered within this book, with various examples. I‘ve read this more than once.
This was my first and the turning point in my life given me a lot to know and to make my vision to do something in my life at some point when I was just a normal kid it told me to become specific or something special that other people's can be agreed on you.....😁😘
What ever the mind of man can conceive and believe it can achieve.
- Napoleon Hills | Think and Grow Rich
Half the book was solid financial, and life in general, advice. The other 1/2 felt like archaic hocus-pocus that a snake oil salesman would try to sell in a small western town.
Author offers motivation on why being wealthy is not a bad thing and offers direction on working hard to acquire it.
Having a burning desire to win comes from burning your bridges and ships of retreat.
So much to go back and revisit. Will be a constant resource to reference and help keep focused and on track.
Some good ideas and useful for inspiration, but the author comes across as a bit full of himself. Prepare yourself for grandiose praises of capitalism as God's gift to mankind.

Here's hoping that for an initial $3 for the book that this will be a worthwhile investment! #positivethinking #abundance #wealth
Has anyone read yet? Did you apply the principles within? We're you successful?

good book to read inspiration stories of American Rich people.
Mixed feelings about the anecdotes, but liked the overall idea (which is basically the law of attraction). I've been reading this with a group over the summer. I definitely recommend slowly discussing with others to get even more out of the experience.
