Loved it, but hated the cheesy lines from Ravi. The twist towards the end 👌🏽

Should be nice but it‘s also a draaaaaag. Too wordy, too much descriptions. Good book, nonetheless.
A fresh take on Achilles and Patroclus. Now, I‘m definitely watching Troy again!
Funny how a lot has happened while reading, but I found the book lacking. It was well-written but the story seemed a little shallow. Loved it still because of its historical references. Finished it fast enough also.
This book was well-thought out! The twists and turns will keep you guessing up until the last chapter. Can‘t wait to read the next books in the series.
Is it just me or this book is really hard to read??? I‘m usually into fiction so I don‘t know if I‘m just biased. I tried reading this for 4 times already. I cannot seem to push myself into reading non-fiction (except finance books, I like those) 😭😭
What a whirlwind of a book! Personally, I love historical romances so this is a book that piqued my interest. The way that it was written, the flashbacks, the descriptions is very rich and full to the brim. Oh how I loved it! It‘s 542 pages but you‘d be able to finish fast because of the story. I know that when it becomes a movie, it‘ll be fantastic!!!
“Small places make for small lives. And some people are fine with that. They like knowing where to put their feet. But if you walk only in other people‘s steps, you cannot make your own way. You cannot leave a mark.” -Remy Laurent (This book has so many quotables!)
“Books, she has found, are a way to live a thousand lives - or to find strength in a very long one.”
1/12. Amazing how it shows us that no matter how monotonous one‘s life is, it‘s important because it gives your days structure. I really enjoyed this book! Such an easy read. Also, it‘s a bonus that I love Japan and been there twice already, so the convenience store life there is something that I have experienced. It also spoke to me that it‘s ok to not follow societal norms. Bought at 1/6/24 ❤️
Last 2023, I‘ve challenged myself to read 1 book per month for 12 months. So proud of myself for being able to accomplish this despite my busy-ness these days. When I was younger, I was a voracious reader. Now, I need to schedule my reading time so this was quite a feat for me.
The book is about Communism. You thought it‘s not gonna be an adult read because they have animals for their characters, but dang! This is such a wonderful book, everyone can read it, young or old. Can‘t help but feel for the animals as I was reading this. :( Finished in 2 days. Dec 24-25 lol 🎄
Ok, thanks to my cousin for giving me this book. I‘ve met my new favorite author! The cunning that is this book. The strong characters, the plot twists… I‘m telling you, you should be reading this. I know I‘m gonna get all of Liv Constantine‘s books from now on!
This book kept me guessing of who the suspect is from start to finish! Easy read and un-put-down-able. Lol
The story has so many twists and turns, there are parts when my heart races as I read. But then there are also parts where the author over-describes or over-explains situations so that I forget the main scene. Overall, maybe a 6.5/10. All in all a nice read.
This was a hard read. It‘s ok, the plot is nice. But the wording of it is not for all people. It‘s high-fallutin sometimes, maybe pretentious. But the story is good. Struggled to finish.
Literally kept me guessing til the end on who the killer is! This is my 7th book of the 2023. (July read)
Actually learned so much about the Amish community while reading this book. Relentless twists and turns until the very end!
This book is comical! I literally laugh out loud on some parts. Love a refreshing rom-com, especially when I‘ve read such dark novels before this. The constant banter between Olive and Ethan is ridiculous.
My goodness! This book is such a good suspense story! A roller coaster of a story. You really can‘t go wrong with Sandra Brown. She always delivers.
This book has summoned me while it was on the shelves. Got this for less than a dollar and the stories were so amazing, especially the GRRM one. You can never go wrong with a George RR Martin story. This is actually, I presume, will be the Season 2 of House of the Dragon. So glad I found this gem!
MY GOODNESS! SPICYYYY! 😍 “The trouble with love, Brother, is thst is isn‘t always polite enough to introduce itself. It simply settled in and takes up residence without even bothering to wait on an invitation.” -Lorraine Heath
Money is shy and elusive. It must be wooed and won…
Starting to realize why this book is a bestseller since the early 1900s. ✨✨✨
“When a man really desires a thing so deeply that he is willing to stake his entire future on a single turn of the wheel in order to get it, he is sure to win.” -Napoleon Hill
Phenomenal! Amazing how Margaret Atwood created a dystopian novel like this. Such a creative mind! And to think the book was published in the 80s. Her views of the future is still appropriate even today.
Essentially, we become more selective about the fucks we‘re willing to give. This is something called maturity. It‘s nice; you should try it sometime. Maturity is what happens when one learns to only give a fuck about what‘s truly fuckworthy.
Worth the hype! The book played with my emotions in just 368 pages. #WhereTheCrawdadsSing #MarshGirl #DeliaOwens
Done with The Broker. I think I picked up some Italian while reading this. 😂
The plot 👌
The twist 🤩
IMMEDIATELY ENGROSSED as I started reading.
I came across this as I was browsing Blackwell's books online. I saw that it was a bestseller, and got it. The book delivered. 👏🏼 The last parts were the best.
I thought it was gonna be another cheeky historical novel, but it kind of tugged in my heart towards the end. It got a little heavy and I loved it!
Historical romance is really my genre of choice. ❤️
It's been proven that negative memories fade with time, whereas positive memories endure. This is why the older a person gets, the greater his tendency to regard the past in a positive light, which is why old fools like to complain wistfully, "Everything was better in the good old days."
It's actually an easy read. Un-put-downable. For 300+ a lot has happened with Annabelle's life and if you think about it, she has weathered blow upon blow of bad things happening to her and came out victorious.
1,045 pages! One of the longest books I've ever read. A lot has happened in this book including Joffrey's death, the Red Wedding and so much battles. Looking forward to read the next one!
Such a pleasure to read, this one!
Been raining since yesterday. Wasn't able to go to work. It's time to read a book with a cup of SwissMiss! 🤓 #SweaterWeather
I should be reading this book! @ books_o_pedia
"... once the cow's been milked, there's no squirting the cream back up her udder." -Lady Olenna, A Storm of Swords ??
"The miracle of fiction is this: It can make us care about the lives of people who never were, except as shadows and make-believe in an author's mind. It makes us invest ourselves in them." -Neil Gaiman
In one way or another, this book, I believe should be read by anyone wanting to get more discipline in life. It's a matter of showing up everyday to one day build a good habit.
