The book outlet gets me, but my poor floor might have other ideas. I picked up this Caitlin Moran book while I wait for Moranifesto from the library, and after reading how to be a woman. Looking forward to reading it this summer. I like her attitude #bookhaul #bookoutlet
First book of 2017 and after the last few shitty weeks I have had I needed a book to laugh along with!!
#topreadsof2016 #seasonsreadings2016 these were my favorites, but honestly all of yours are making my TBR list ever longer 😄 ahhh life on Litsy. Moranthology is also on my list but couldn't get it on the picture lol..

I need help Littens! I'm using the #LitsyAtoZ challenge to clean up my TBR. But I need help with the letter 'X'. What are others doing?
#photoadaynov16 #novemberreads not a long list😏but it's the best I could do for November and out of these, Moranthology was my favorite because it made me laugh so hard and I LOVE laughing! The other two were obviously very good too. Also, you can see I am also pretty behind on my reading challenge...but the year isn't over yet! 😆
This book had me laughing my head off. I love Caitlin's insight into cultural, social and political issues. Already can't wait for her next book! ❤️
#onewordtitles #photoadaynov16 currently reading Moranthology by Caitlin Moran and I am LAUGHING HYSTERICALLY out loud! 😂
More time to finish that huge TBR list!
"Reading books is tied to a longer life, according to a new report."

Some of the essays in this collection were better than others, some purely fun, while others more serious, but all from the heart with Moran's signature quirky wit. From Ghostbuster to Downton Abbey, Marriage & Children, Keith Richards to Paul McCartney, as well as more serious social issues like funding for the arts, poverty, & the importance of libraries. There is definitely something in here for everyone to enjoy, laugh at, & think hard about.
I never thought about it this way, but having just seen the new Ghostbusters film, reading her logic, and realizing my chances of survival in one franchise is WAY better than the other....I think I might have to go with her on this one! 😂 LOL! I do love Star Wars though, sorry Caitlin!

Why libraries are so important in the community!
... "But art—painting, poetry, film, TV, music, books, magazines—is a world that runs constant and parallel to ours, where we imagine different futures—millions of them—and try them out for size. Fantasy characters can kiss, and we, as a nation, can all work out how we feel about it, without having to involve real shy teenage lesbians in awful sweaters, to the benefit of everyone‘s notion of civility."
~ On discussing funding the Arts
I'll take your word for it KR's, but I do love the imagery of them zooming through the air just above our reach.
(...) "If I give you a gift, it is usually a surprise. It is probably something you would not have gotten for yourself. And after I have given it to you, I would not see it again. I leave you with the gift. Gift-giving leaves the person who receives the gift essentially powerless" (...) Babies being “given” to women as gifts makes the women sound powerless. Just something that a present was put onto, like a bookcase, or a shelf"
I'm a bit behind the times today, but since everyone else was so nice to share I wanted to reciprocate. These are my 3 reading buddies this afternoon.
