just finished this book and although it wasn't as gritty and scandalous as I hoped, it was still a good read. very different from the dystopian books of Margaret Attwoods I have read before which I must admit I prefer. but nonetheless she did a good job!

Just finished reading this book and wow is it twisted and pretty crazy. I thought it might be a book where j would eventually understand or kinda like the main character but nope hated her so much.

Such a clever retelling, it's the first Shakespeare retelling I have read and was very impressed at how well she portrayed each character and how cleverly she interwove an actual play of the tempest with the retelling. it was basically a book within a play within a play, spell binding!!

PickingBooks I had no idea what this one was about. Thanks! I‘ll have to added it to my tbr list. I love Margaret Atwood. 🙌😁 6y
ImperfectCJ I love the whole Hogarth Shakespeare collection, but this is my favorite so far. I love what Atwood does with the story. 6y

Another great book from the chaos walking trilogy although it's so frustrating how he does such a good job at leaving a cliff hanger that you feel you have to read the next one asap.

I have just got to potentially the worst part of this book and am heart broken.

Andrew65 This book certainly plays with your emotions! 😢 6y
ehewett88 @Andrew65 it really does. it is the sort of book you shouldn't have favourite characters or warm to any of them 😢 6y
ehewett88 @Andrew65 but you just can't help loving some of the characters 6y
Andrew65 @ehewett88 Couldn‘t agree more. 6y

Andrew65 🙈🤞🤞🤞🤞 6y
Andrew65 “I am Todd Hewitt, I think to myself with my eyes closed. I am twelve years and twelve months old. I live in Prentisstown on New World. I will be a man in one month‘s time exactly.” 6y
ehewett88 @Andrew65 jeez imagine being a grown up at 13. I don't think I was really a grown up at 18 let alone 13. such an intriguing opening chapter, it's certainly has grabbed me 6y
Andrew65 @ehewett88 It only gets better, could say so much but would only be spoilers. Almost makes me want to read it Again! 6y
ehewett88 @Andrew65 I already love manchee the dog he is such a good bit of comic relief 6y

really enjoyed this book. it was the perfect mixture of romance, festive fun and a few little twists. I really like how the main character was a lot deeper and had quite a dark background compared to a lot of chick lit. I finished this book today whilst in bed with the flu and couldn't recommend it more as a festive read. Merry Christmas everyone!!
