This is Craeg and Paradise's story and the new characters have integrated this epic tale of vampires. Of course, others characters in the BDB make appearances in the book, especially Butch. Excellent character development as I have come to expect from Ward and I liked that the plot was a bit different. 4⭐️
Paradise has wanted more for her life than being a protected member of the glymera. She is excited to be a part of the new program set up by the BDB.
Craeg lost his whole family and doesn‘t have much hope for the future. But he can fight.
The relationship between these two is underlined by social expectations, but also love.

I instantly think of the #BlackDaggerBrotherhood
I'm a few books behind but I will catch up. So many books, so little time.

So this is the first book in a spin off series of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I had a hard time starting it like all first books in a series because they set it up and also because I didn't really care for the main character, Paradise. She did end up growing on me towards the end of the book when she stopped being such a "good girl" and becoming her own person and getting a personality. Going to try the next book and see where it goes.
Awww man all i can say is HOT and DELICIOUS these books are...cannot wait for BLOODVOW next
I forgot to post about this one. Per usual, I thoroughly enjoyed Ms. Ward's story. I just got a B&N gift card for Xmas, so I will be purchasing Blood Vow soon. #romantsy
J.R. Ward ebook sale alert. I liked the new characters. The next one in this Black Dagger Spin-off series comes out next month - Blood Vow.
The latest book, Blood Kiss by J. R Ward and it's a new series called Black Dagger Legacy. Have you read it yet? These books are a little hit and miss for but the legions of BDB fans would disagree.😳
This is the first book in the BDB spin off series and I was pleasantly surprised. Still involves the original characters but finally introduces some new ones. Seemed to be a quicker read than the original series too. I liked it.
