On our international flight, I finally got the chance to watch the new Little Women adaptation. It was amazing as promised. I loved the way it was set up, flashing between timelines. And the ending was perfect, how Jo's storyline was wrapped up!

Over the weekend I was in Chicago and went to the American Writer‘s Museum. It was a nice little museum full of notable American authors!
In the children‘s area they highlighted children authors. Here‘s the Louisa May Alcott panel and Little Women book.

I'm behind for my #classicschallenge2024 as Little Women was March's book, but better late than never. This edition was passed onto me from my cousin though I don't remember when.

My sister and I (I just have the 1 sister) both have my mother‘s last name as our middle name. Some of the kids we grew up alongside also have their mother‘s last name as their middle name (I guess there was a mini fad for that with feminists in the 80s), so I was in grade school before I realized that‘s not what all middle names were 😂
Little Women is still my favorite happy family story 💗
Always a joy to read.
Bringing back a former tradition of reading this every December.
No I didn't just spend too much money on two book series that I already have beautiful copies of...🫥😍🤤
The classic of all classics. Heartwarming, charming, pleasant! And I fully appreciate the 90's movie soundtrack as well; it is transcendent. Perfection.
Went to visit the Alcott home. Bought Little Women—started reading for the first time today.
This book is so heartwarming and a great reminder of the important things in life. I love the authors ability to paint such a vivid picture of every characters personality and how although very different are all very much alike. Sisterhood, family, love, humility, honesty, respect, admiration, are all very present throughout to display the importance of kindness and grace. No questions asked on why this book is considered a classic novel.
Marmee, one of the best mothers in literature. Love the book, love the movies. I am most fond of this 1994 version. The music, original score by Thomas Newman, is fantastic.

1. I've read a fair amount. Lately I've been trying to go back and read the ones I skipped in school lol
2. I've had Little Women on my shelf for ages but never read it! Might have to give it a go soon
Listening to Laura Dern narrate this feels like sipping hot chocolate next to a fire while it‘s snowing outside.
I have watched both the 2019 (top) and the 1994 (bottom). Personally I like the 1994 version much more than the 2019 version for a number of reasons, including that the 1994 version cast Laurie better than the 2019 version. So of these two versions, which do you like better? #littlewomen #movieadaptations
Here‘s my photo for “by candlelight” #festivephotochallenge I‘ve started my annual reread of Little Women. 😊📖🎄🕯 #mistletoemaniacs #wintergames2021 @Clwojick
Finished Little Women for a book club last month. Had such a great discussion. I definitely thought I‘d read this as a young adult, but I‘m fairly certain I had only watched the movie version 🙊 I‘m glad I read this, but it was dense. The poems and newsletter, I could have done without. Overall 4⭐️
1. All the Christmas Activities; putting our tree up, watching holiday movies while wrapping, making cookies and goodies, taking our baby girl to see Christmas lights and Santa 🎅
2. Hopefully Little Women-- and if I love it making it a tradition.

1. Hanging out with Jo and the sisters would be a fun way to quarantine. Dressing up, reading, playing music in that place and time.
2. Taking walks even on these cold days. Listening to a book podcast, or music or just thinking.
3 Under the Tuscan Sun was a good escape. Read that one a few years ago.

1. I have a few! The 1994 version of “Little Women” with Winona Ryder. I just adore Jo March and my daughter Josephine is named for her. Another great one is “Misery.” Kathy Bates is simply phenomenal in it!
2. I would love to see “The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue” on the big screen. It would have beautiful cinematography and would be a tear-jerker. I love crying from movies. Haha.
Thanks for the tag!
Finally watching the new Little Women. I enjoy the 1994 version so much and so far I‘m loving this one too.
Have to show off my new bookish tees from out of print !
Little women brings me comfort before I rest for the day, as the loving March family takes me to a world unlike the present.. Truly an enjoyable read. ❤️

#Blithe has a few different meanings, but I feel like Jo March fits them all at one point. She will always be one of my all-time favorite literary characters.
I don't usually read classics, they never normally live up to the reviews. This one was an exception, beautifully written. I really enjoyed it and this edition is wonderful!
It's from @Waterstones if you are looking for it!
5 stars from me!
1. Yes! Hubby always lets me get books and loves that I'm a reader.
2. I wish...
3. Little Women
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐One of my most beloved and favourite books of my childhood and the only book I have ever re-read multiple times, it stands the test of time for me and is always a delightful read.#louisamalcott#littlewomen #tea_sipping_bookworm #goodreads #litsy #thestorygraph #bookqueens #bookstagram
